Absolutely horrid UI, (no idea why the designers and the company think a tiktok style UI is good) and it just makes everything so confusing, awful update and very hard to use especially on mobile. Will not be using the app for the foreseeable future. Have been using YouTube more and more.

Awful ui design and horrible social media feed, why make it so the youtube app is now better and more pleasant to use than twitch.

I actively watch twitch less and youtube more because the app UI is so bad. Is that what y'all wanted, twitch? to drive away viewers and send them to your biggest competitor? you're doing a great job! keep it up!

Twitch doesn't take its users seriously and it shows.

Despite the overwhelmingly negative feedback on the initial feedback request thread, they still pushed the UI update out to all users.

It's obvious they didn't look through the 1,000+ comments.

They cherrypicked the "I would like it more if ..." ones and implemented those changes.

Any other dissenting comment was ignored.

Its so awful. Twitch wants to make a app that is fundamentally not used like Tiktok look like its Tiktok. I want back my list of live followed channel's stream thumbnails. I want PIP of the stream I'm watching when I go back to look at that list again. I have zero interest in whatever fullscreen video from someone I don't follow that twitch is shoving in my face. Somehow twitch thinks this will boost revenue but its about to make me cancel my Turbo and subs. Mobile firefox has ublock, twitch.

People need to stop making new threads and dogpile on the existing one... you're just fragmenting the votes and comments.

New UI is not what I look for when using twitch:
Autoplay stream is a calamity. It's not tiktok here. I wan't to loof for a stream that i appreciate and stay on it, not switching every 10secs
There's not enough informations about streams online : where are miniature and title wich can help us to choose what we want to watch

First time I've ever posted here. I just uninstalled that infuriating mess of an app from my phone. I can't stand to use it. The old app was great. Easy to use and functional. This is the complete opposite of that. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be fired. If you do a similar thing to the PC interface I will be done with Twitch altogether.

Agreed. Not only did I immediately uninstall, but I've found that watching on Firefox mobile with a couple extensions is better anyway. So, good job, devs! You did it! I'm having a better user experience because of you!

Concurring with this comment, please fix this. The mobile app is unusable now and should be reverted or at bare minimum should have a toggle option for those who still wish to use a functional application.

The new update is horrible. It doesn't even default to showing me a streamer that I follow, it just starts playing some random popular streamer that I don't care about until I click on the Following button and select someone I actually want to see.

Also, how are the follows sorted? Just seems totally random.

Same here - I never once have left a comment or feedback for twitch, but this new app layout is so unbelievably bad that I had to figure out how to try and encourage Twitch to revert back to its previous mobile app layout. Please, Twitch, undo this most recent app update and bring back the previous layout!!

The latest update is so bad that i have uninstalled the Twitch app and won't go back on my smartphone until Twitch go back to the old layout

Twitch app didn't get any proper updates for what feels like a decade, then you do this and it's SO far from what's needed/wanted by anyone who uses the app. I've not seen a company so far out of touch with their user base as Twitch has become.

When i open the app I do NOT what a stream opening,the home page of the app should NOT be a stream, it should open right to the, Your Following list, that shows the thumbnail for the streams (like is was before). you can't tell what going in a steam form just a NAME, and category that shown on a drop down list.

Immediately uninstalled after finding only the autoplay option (which is OPT OUT, not OPT IN - scummy) and the mute by default toggle. Nothing about allowing the app to open to my followed streamers and who's online - the only reason why I use the app. Awful, greedy update.

Edit, forgot to mention: what an awful waste of vertical space. 16:9 stream but most of the screen is just some adaptive color averaging. Immediately frustrating.
