The new ui on this update is ******* horrible. Why fix what isnt broken. Revert the mobile app back

Literally nobody asked for a tiktok style feed when opening the app. I've had it up to my ears with algorithms anymore. I'm sick of algorithms deciding what content I see or should watch. I want to see content from the people I follow, not what some algorithm thinks I should see. It's like thus platform is trying to take away views from the creators I'm following and telling me the ones I follow aren't good enough and I should be watching someone else. I'm not okay with this. Also now if I'm watching someone and need to navigate through the app there's no more mini player?? When I go back to the home screen while watching someone the stream is completely closed and there's no mini player and I have to reopen my follow list to get back to their stream. I give this update a 0/10

These apps need to stop TikTokifying themselves when that’s not what people want at all!!!!! Let TikTok be TikTok, Twitch doesn’t need to be anything like it oh my god who is making these decisions

this exactly. I have a very curated list of people who I follow and I want to see those on my main screen , with the option to browse other live streams. I also am I mobile vod watcher and not being able to easily continue watching things I have started watching is a nightmare.

I only sometimes find myself wanting to watch new streamers and this should not be the first thing I am pushed into when I open this app.

eta: I am not a TikTok user or a person who endlessly scrolls so this update with this sort implementation just feels bad

I actually kinda liked the feed, but replacing the homepage with it annoys me to no end.

Also I used to get a small player while browsing further but it now closes that, to show me the feed again. Very annoying.

Just give me my followlist as homepage back.

While not an all-around fix to the TwitchTok update, you can at least disable auto-play: iOS Settings > Accessibility > Motion > Auto-Play Video Previews (turn off).

This update is horrific and I honestly cant believe this got pushed through. I get people sometimes just need to get used to things, but the new app layout is counter-intuitive for the content of twitch. There is no getting used to it because it is antagonistic to the way people use the platform. You lazily tried to make it into tiktok, and that does not work for twitch.

Agree. The new tik-tok clone mobile app is terrible. Dare I say it's better using the web version on Mobile now.

Please revert this update. This is the most extreme case of enshittification I've ever seen. I just want a follow list. No suggestions, I don't care about who you think I want to watch. Just let me watch who I already tell you I want to watch. Why can I not see previews of my follow list anymore? Why can I not see their tags? Why can I not see their TITLES?
Revert or fix these issues IMMEDIATELY.

Most of the feedback has been to revert the UI, but they continued to roll it out anyway. Twitch isn't TikTok. If anything this update makes it harder to find new channels since you have to scroll through. Also removing the Continue Watching section is an awful change as well. It was so easy to find and catch up on a VOD that you were watching. Why make it harder??? Listen to your feedback and if you don't want to fully revert it then at least give the option to revert this mess.

Yes, roll back the UI please! The recent UI changes are many times worse than the previous version. My main use case for the app is watching streams I’m following and finding related streamers to add to my follow list. Most streamers I watch don’t make stories and I don’t want them to. I want the long-form, live content they provide and would like the ability to quickly scroll the whole list with a thumbnail like it used to be.

Agreed 110%. My twitch force updated to this update. Now I can’t sort my followed channels but viewers count to look for raids on my phone. I’m stuck scrolling through the list 10 times. Twitch is for people with attention spans. Revert it

This update SUCKS. I watch streams that are 3+ hours, I’m not scrolling through 30 second videos on tiktok. I just want to see who’s live when I open it. I want PiP. REVERT THE UPDATE you absolute morons.

New Android update is absolutely terrible. There is not a single thing about it that is a good user experience. Just trying to be TikTok but Twitch isn't tiktok.

the worst possible change you could have made to the Android app as a default experience. If you made it an option, fine. I refuse to use the app in this state, and will use an alternate viewing app because even at their worst, they are infinitely better than this new update. Really. It's terrible. Whoever greenlit this should be fired. I'm all for changes to improve things, but this just ain't it.
