Revert new app changes
Please revert these new changes made to the app. I can’t use the app properly anymore. When I open twitch I want to see my follow list, who’s on and what they are streaming, not some random stream that starts playing.
Also where did the “continue watching” list go? I can’t see it anywhere. Do I actually have to go through profiles and search through vods and try to remember which specific vid I was watching?
Wow! These new changes are a nightmare, please revert to the original format before I delete the app.

I understand the new update is to show content to people that are maybe new to Twitch and suggest things they may like but the app update ruins the experience for people who are long time twitch users.
We want to see who we follow, their title and their thumbnail like before. Why can't this be an optional default?
This is not tiktok. I love IRL, if I want to find IRL I look in the IRL category or a search IRL tags.
I doubt I will find anyone new scrolling

Hello,
Perhaps checking your app reviews, sorted by most recent, will help you understand that it's not just the people on UserVoice that don't like this change. I'll leave a link to your app on the Google Play Store so it's nice and convenient, someone just has to figure out how to scroll down, click "see all reviews" and then sort by "recent" instead of the useless "most relevant". I recognize that majority of your developers only know how to scroll up/down ala TikTok or YT Shorts, but hopefully someone on your team still knows how to use a mouse and keyboard or can operate their phone or tablet in such a fashion as to interact with a website that doesn't just scroll up and down while feeding 10-60 second clips.
Anyway, here's a link to your app on the Google Play Store so a competent UI/UX designer can look at user feedback rather than the swill that corporate is feeding them:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tv.twitch.android.app&hl=en_US&pli=1
Hopefully someone sees the light soon.

Additionally, if you linger on one of the carousel it forces you to join the stream. Or at least that's been happening to me. Probably because they can't make you watch ads unless you are in the audience. I'm 100% that absolutely nobody asked for this and that nobody who actually uses this app had any input on this. It's plain BAD. Let people make their own discoveries! How about instead of trying to copy what every other social media app is trying to do, do something correctly first. Like baseline making the app function consistently. Maybe start there.

This recent change to the app actually seriously sucks. Me and about 10 other friends that I know of off the top of my head all have issues with it. BRING THE OLD TWITCH BACK! I constantly have to close the app ever 5-10 minutes because it freezes and about 90% of the time I have to close it because my chats stop sending. As as small streamer on Twitch it also discourages people to watch on mobile when they're also experiencing the same issues. As someone who travels quite often and enjoys listening to streams while on the road the new design issues makes it so hard to support other streamers that I follow and watch regularly. Also, why does the app switch me over to a random stream - most of the time someone I'm not even following - while I'm already watching someone else's stream? C'mon Twitch, be original. Stop trying to be like TikTok. If I wanted to watch people stream games on TikTok I would have used TikTok to watch in the first place. Stop fixing stuff that isn't broken. By far the worst update to the app I've ever experienced.

Genuinely one of the worst changes I've seen recently. Why on earth are you forcing a portrait oriented layout for an app that features landscape oriented content? Why is it not possible to see a "continue watching" section anymore? Why is the following list in a completely random order? Why can't we see stream titles for followed channels until we start watching them? This entire "feed" layout was perfectly fine how it was, existing in its own tab on the old interface. Actively removing features to push a design that makes content harder to access seems like a bad idea. Heck, I'd even just take you putting in a separate "following" tab to the app that shows the old home interface (followed channels with thumbnails and titles, featured clips from people you follow, and continue watching section)

New UI is awful... you are going to push people away, add a toggle and see how many people instantly revert the UI! Isthere anyway to sort my followed list in this new UI? I can't seem to find it and if not then that's just crazy. The solution I've gone for right now is unfollowing lots of smaller streamers which is a shame but there's no way I can see to organise my followed list. I can barely find my favorite streamers that I follow, something is seriously wrong. There was no reason to change to this 'improved' UI, and if you are confident it is better why not add a toggle and see how many people revert it. Why does it play some random person's channel on my homepage I have no idea what purpose that serves. I am also unable to preview my followlist with a thumbnail to see what content they are up to... what is the benefit of that? I have no idea why you changed the mobile app, someone at the company trying to look busy I suspect but this isn't tiktok and never will be, I cannot believe how bad the new UI is and that you thought it was a good idea to roll it out to everyone without a toggle.... 0/10 I'll wait about a month if you don't offer a solution I think I will finally hop to kick because that UI is unbearable someone should seriously be fired

I already deleted the app the second I saw the changes. I already hated it when they made the app open to a random stream I had no intention of watching and I had to move to the discover tab, this is just unforgivable.

This is the worst butcher job I've ever seen. Please give us the old UI back. I canceled Turbo and am watching much less.

Please bring back the feature that shows the missed streams from the channels I follow. Now it’s impossible to see what I missed unless I click on each and every one to check when they last streamed. Also, I’d like the continue watching option back.
I follow the channels I follow because that is the content I’m interested in. Please let me watch the content I like and spare me from the endless feed of uninteresting streams -

Scrolling are for short videos or maybe vertical live streams, not for long, horizontal live streams. I don't understand why the twitch team not listening to majority and reverting the UI. I mean, you could keep this, but you gotta add a button to allow users revert to the old UI.

Can the incompetent morons who came up with this app redesign be fired and the original app design be brought back? Like please for the love of god. Who tf greenlight this? I cant believe anyone thought this was superior to the previous following page on the mobile app. This version is 100x worse. Insane.

Well, the app was usable. Not great, but usable. Now it is so much worse. I would much rather prefer a list of thumbnails in this form. Having previews is nice, but it was executed poorly. When it first came out, it would pause the stream that was open in Picture in Picture to play the ones in the feed, even when muted. Seems that they have fixed that, but the feed is lousy

It's so awful. I can't even use the home tab, what even is it doing for me that actually helps me find the streams I want? I want to see a list of my followed streamers that are live. Right now I am just going to the search tab and then searching for my game to see a similar view to what used to be on the home tab.
I am boycotting the home tab, and if we all do they will see their KPIs go down the toilet because that's all they care about. I refuse to spend a second using that god awful new tab.

Literally the most idiotic update to the mobile app there are far better ways to try and deliver “smaller” streamers to viewers. It’s **** near impossible to open the app and find streamers you want to see while they’re live without jumping through arbitrary hoops for no reason at all. Add this feature as a separate section and NOT the default home page of the mobile app. Yall should be be ashamed at this atrocious and bastardized attempt to increase engagement
