Revert new app changes
Please revert these new changes made to the app. I can’t use the app properly anymore. When I open twitch I want to see my follow list, who’s on and what they are streaming, not some random stream that starts playing.
Also where did the “continue watching” list go? I can’t see it anywhere. Do I actually have to go through profiles and search through vods and try to remember which specific vid I was watching?
Wow! These new changes are a nightmare, please revert to the original format before I delete the app.

It's genuinely so bad that I've had to stop using the mobile app, and that's how I've mostly watched streams as a chronically ill person who spends a lot of time in bed. Please revert the changes, some of us don't have TikTok for reasons and I don't want Twitch to turn into it too.

It honestly feels like the most recent mobile UI change was done by committee rather than an experienced designer or design team. I'm sure you thought you were doing something to improve discoverability on the platform, but this really isn't it. It makes me want to click off whatever I'm being forced to watch as quickly as humanly possible and is probably doing more harm to smaller creators as I'm not even giving them a chance. It's the digital equivalent of those street marketers who try and talk to you as you're walking by, just leave me alone. I'm here to do my own thing, not to listen to what you're showing me/telling me.

I can’t stand the mobile update…considering deleting it until something changes.

Okay, this is horrible. Why are so many apps following TikTok format? Is this another case of "WoW Killers"? Because old app was functionally superb. One could immediately see the visual list of followed channels with necessary info and click on them. If I wanted to discover streams, I would go there. That's what the raids are for. Now I don't even wish to use the app anymore. I guess someone saw *possibility* of new user influx more important than user retention...

Change for change's sake is a poor reason to update a ui that has the required functionality already. Trading the goodwill of users for what appears to be an attempt at greater discoverability is a poor choice. Given that there was already significant negative feedback regarding the change when it was test launched to some users, it's disappointing to see that twitch clearly didn't take this into account.
The issues with this change have already been well articulated by numerous commenters here, both from the viewer and content creator perspectives. I don't want to see twitch mobile go the way of other apps, I don't want a tik tok experience when I open twitch. This isn't a social media platform, or a shorts sharing platform. I understand that time and resources have been invested into this change, but in the long term reversing it will be a much smarter decision in terms of usability and user goodwill than forcing people to choose between a tiktokified UI or simply changing to either exclusively browser based twitch viewing, or as appears to have been the choice of a number of other reviewers, to different platforms with streaming capabilities altogether.

When I open the app on my Android mobile the very first thing I hit is the "following" tab on the top right to see who is on that I'm following. I do this as fast as possible before a random video starts playing.
If I'm not feeling that the next thing I want to do is look at my FOLLOWED CATEGORIES and look at other streamers playing the games I'm interested in, but that option is nowhere to be found on this new update.
Either the app needs to go back to how it was, or when I go into the "following" tab there needs to be another sub-tab for "followed categories". -

What on earth is this change!! I can’t believe the home page is now some auto playing nonsense of channels I DON’T EVEN FOLLOW.
It’s so hard to even see my current channel follows that are streaming and to find VODs I was previously watching.
Deleting this clown show until the change is reverted

I heard some say this change may have been for discoverability, but other platforms have a separate tab I can click on and find creators that I don't currently watch. When I open Twitch, I know who I want to watch and I go straight to their channel. Twitch isn't TikTok. Twitch should not be trying to be TikTok.
This new update autoplays a channel I'm not following and I have no interest in watching and makes it tedious to get to the list of channels I want to watch. Every single time! Make a separate "For You" tab that isn't the default tab you see when opening the app. Make a "Following" tab that IS the default tab you see when opening the app.
If you're trying to increase discoverability, then make a "For You" section under the "Following" section (like the current webapp). I've discovered plenty of streamers this way and it works great. Also, I encourage rolling out features using A/B testing and gathering data. You may discover a perfect way to increase discoverability without alienating your users.

Aside from the viewer experience (bad) the "create" side is also really clunky?
A tiktok style + button just to get a menu?
I just wanted too change my streamtitle real quick 🙃

it is so bad that i been "forced" to use the webbrowser instead only using the app for notifications... the app has basically become useless to a lot of us.

Please revert. Basically no one who was an actual user of this platform wants this change.

The intent of your update seemed to be discoverability but it comes at the EXPENSE of my current loyal viewers who sub to me, gift subs and interact with me heavily across multiple socials.
If you are willing to listen to users, I highly recommend reverting the update back to the previous version.
The doom scrolling feature scares me, the notion that those who see me on the doom scroll feed but don't actually click into the stream won't actually count as a view scares me and the idea that they will simply be following multiple streamers while never truly becoming apart of my community absolutely terrifies me.
Until the app is back to normal, I have deleted the mobile app and left a ONE STAR review on the app star with my vexes.
Thanks for your time

The alternate version where Feed was a separate section from Following was clearly better.
This has more annoying issues such as a minimized stream will stop playing if you are viewing any other section and then click on Home even if autoplay is disabled.

I've been watching Twitch consistently for 11 years now, so I've been here for quite a few updates and design changes. This is, by far, the WORST "update" to the Twitch experience I've seen.
No stream titles? No thumbnails? Autoplaying some random stream I don't follow? Asinine. Absolutely asinine. Legitimately infuriating experience.
I hope Twitch actually listens to their audience and reverts this ****. -

This tiktok’d ui is what happens when you have incompetent developers under incompetent management. It’s poorly executed, as if they were using chatgpt, gemini, claude, or some other narrow ai to do all the coding because they don’t know what they are doing. And management seems like a bunch of morons that just wanted to seem like they know what they are doing and firing coders isn’t cutting it, so they had to make things different thinking this is what would start raking in the money. Twitch mobile is dead to me for this reason.

This new update actively discourages viewers from watching on Twitch. I'm glad Twitch is supporting the YouTube streaming community with this.... Their app update is so trash that I'm encouraging anyone streaming on Twitch to think about going over to YouTube as well. I certainly am waiting for the streamers I watch to post their VODs elsewhere because the mobile app update is so garbage. I want to load in and see who I am following, the streams I have previously started, and then other content is fine.

I see Twitch is at the “consolidate to make it look like we have less of a problem” stage. I’m nearly 100% certain no one is checking user voice except to make Twitch look better but just in case: Switch the app back please!

I really don't understand why this platform is not listening to their users and the amount of feedback we've sent out. The new mobile update is the worst I've ever seen. Even before it went out, the beta users felt the same and the update happened anyway. It's really sad that Twitch isn't doing anything about it or even mentioning it elsewhere. Please do better. I want the revert as much as everyone else.
