[Feature] Stories on Twitch
Stories on Twitch is a new feature in the Twitch mobile app that helps you stay connected with your community when you’re not live. Stories let you share photos, clips, or freeform content using text, custom channel emotes, and backgrounds that expire in 48 hours. Creating stories is currently limited to Partners & Affiliates who have had at least one stream in the last 30 days. Streamers with at least 30 subscribers (including gift subs) will also have the option to create sub-only stories. Learn more about stories and current eligibility requirements in our Help Article: https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/stories. We'd love to learn what else you'd like to see so share with us your feedback.

Hello, thanks for the opportunity to comment on issues. I watch the channels of presenters, Flammu, Trenlass etc. Now, sometimes when I have watched their channels, I'll be able to claim a container or something, but this is not always the case, like yesterday and today. Is there a plausible explanation for this?
Thank you Siebeneisern -

stories are quite an annoying feature and basically just lead to unfollows of channels that use them - either give an option to in general not display stories or allow to mark them as seen and then hide them - or even better both

Stories just showed up on my computer and they're not really working for me - whenever I select one, it autoplays muted and then jumps to the next one before I can find the controls to unmute it and play it again.
If you could add an accessibility setting so they don't autoplay, then I could use them, as it is the feature is useless to me.

When you start the app it is now even more difficult to get to your following list. You go to click on following and the stories banner expands so you accidentally click on a story, and the nightmare navigation that is the Twitch app begins all over again. Please remove this banner or move it somewhere it can be ignored or at least not get in the way. Or better yet, get rid of the whole home page.

Can you please make a way to disable Twitch stories, they are really annoying, and it makes it really hard to get to the stream I want to watch.

twitch stories is annoying, especially right at the top. i actively unfollow streamers who post stories because there is no way for me to just disable seeing stories at all. yes thats right, this thing you did to create engagement is leading to me having less engagement. allow us to disable seeing stories. twitch is not tiktok and yall shouldnt want to be. have some sense of self.

So let's say there's a guy who has been going to Starbucks for a morning coffee, 5 days a week, for 10 years. Then one day he orders his usual, takes the first cautious sip as he walks out of the store, and notices that it tastes absolutely awful. He goes back in, complains about the taste, and as a long-term customer is quickly provided with a new cup...which tastes awful, too. When he asks again, he ends up in this conversation:
Barista: Oh, I think I know why your coffee tastes different today: we just started adding hazelnut flavoring to all of our beverages.
Customer: I don't like hazelnut, can I just get a cup of coffee-flavored coffee?
Barista: Sorry, no, all of our coffee is hazelnut flavored now.
Customer: You can't just not put the hazelnut into my cup?
Barista: No, we have to add hazelnut to everything. It's a rule.
Customer: Can I get the hazelnut on the side, so I don't have to drink it?
Barista: Nope, sorry. Corporate saw that customers at 7/11 used the hazelnut flavored creamer far more than other types, so we decided to just give the people what they want.
Customer: But I don't *want* hazelnut in my coffee.
Barista: It's still the same coffee you love once you get past the hazelnut.
Customer: I should not have to "get past" something in order to enjoy a product that I pay for!
Barista: There's nothing I can do, it's a new feature designed to cater to popular preferences.
Customer: I don't care what other people like, **I** hate hazelnut!
Barista: I'm sure you'll get used to it after a while, and maybe even discover that you like it after all.Is the customer going to:
A) Just drink his coffee with hazelnut from now on because it's the only option Starbucks offers, or
B) Find another place to get coffee? -

I don't care about stories, soo boring, just "ads", why can i not remove this? Why is it pushing streams out of the frame? Put it down at the bottom or allow me to opt-out at least. Unfollowing is the only option.
