[Feature] Stories on Twitch

Stories on Twitch is a new feature in the Twitch mobile app that helps you stay connected with your community when you’re not live. Stories let you share photos, clips, or freeform content using text, custom channel emotes, and backgrounds that expire in 48 hours. Creating stories is currently limited to Partners & Affiliates who have had at least one stream in the last 30 days. Streamers with at least 30 subscribers (including gift subs) will also have the option to create sub-only stories. Learn more about stories and current eligibility requirements in our Help Article: https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/stories. We'd love to learn what else you'd like to see so share with us your feedback.

Stop trying to make it a social media app because it is not. It is for streaming and the interface on the new app is just Tik Tok from Temu. Glad I am back on the old version.

Your new Ui is relly unpleasent. I don't want to see of the bat a stream. I want a welcome page. The old welcome page was perfect.

On top of that when i click on a stream and reduce it in the corner of my screen in app, the video stops because your new following and clip pages are videos too.

GIVE ME THE OPTION TO CHOSE THE HOME PAGE I WANT, PLEASE.

Before the app update, I was able to launch the app and immediately see who was live, what they're playing, and a preview of their stream in case they're BRB. Now to see the same information, I have to go into a menu, or scroll past many distracting live previews. This inconvenience makes me less likely to engage.

I honestly don't like it to put it as a default. Maybe some people may like it but to impose it as a default? That's a no from me

This is such a stupid move. I’m just gonna uninstall the Twitch app at this point. It’s pointless if they’re going to hide the content I want to see with some pointless **** designed to appease shareholders who demand endless “innovation”. Just focus on making the core platform as good as it can be and forget this stuff!

Some people hate stories and would rather unfollow streamers and actually be able to watch the content the reason for going to twitch will be going to YouTube until you can hide stories or have the ability to remove them completely

  • mrr5745 commented  ·   ·  Report

I'm unfollowing every streamer who posts a story until twitch lets me disable this horrendous "feature" entirely.

How does Twitch expect us to grow n get ou r channel out there if all we see in the clip fe ed is pure partners clips n some affiliate clip s but the majority is just partner clips what d o u all think is it Fair? Questions
  • acepilotalec commented  ·   ·  Report

Don't want stories at the top of the app, i want to see my live following channels. This is why I dont update mobile apps.
  • KisaXIII commented  ·   ·  Report

Can we either have an option to turn stories off or not have it be the default when opening the app, please. I don’t want to open twitch directly into a stream or stories, I want a quiet home page to choose from.
  • Trevsice commented  ·   ·  Report

I would like to disable stories as the default view, it's impossible to switch streams.

  • blackdiamond3232323 commented  ·   ·  Report

Give an option to turn off stories. Or at the very least make it so that you can select a home page that isn’t stories for when you open the app
