tVOS 17.0 Twitch App VOD video goes black after 5 minutes of watching
The Twitch Apple TV app does not work on the new tvOS 17.0 OS just released. When watching a VOD the video will suddenly go all black but the sound will continue playing.
The Apple TV Twitch App is literally unusuable in this state. Please fix this.

Baffled that this hasn’t been fixed yet, has been going on for what feels like a year or two and happens when watching any VOD after a few minutes and then repeatedly throughout the VOD. Pausing and playing fixes immediately but it’s so annoying to keep having to do that while trying to enjoy a VOD.

Here just like everybody else. Video keeps going black but audio continues to play. Have to constantly pause and unpause to get the video back for a few seconds.

Pretty frustrating that this still happens months after initial reports. Just revert the **** change that caused it! It’s not that hard. Such a terrible app user experience on tvOS - you’re not able to properly scroll videos, your screen blacks out all the time, some of the UI elements are hard to focus the input on. ***** this, I’m going to download VODs and watch them through a regular player and enjoy content rather getting frustrated with it. Shame on you, Twitch, I’d think a multi billion dollar company would do better.

*Wild* that this has not yet been fixed. Relieved to learn that it isn’t an issue with my WiFi, which is what I thought for months. Every time the VOD goes black I audibly groan. Get on a call with an Apple representative and figure it out.

I learned that by simply pausing for a bit and then resuming, the video playback will suddenly fast forward through all of the video that was previously left out before continuing as if nothing went wrong. During all of this, the only thing that works properly is the audio. This will still happen again, but repeating the workaround will allow video to continue playing properly for some time. There seems to be a disconnect between audio and video.

Just go ahead and pay to watch it live on YouTube. It’s what we’ve done for the past few months and we are better off for it.

Adding a comment for every week this still happens. Fix this, unusuable app at this point for vod watchers. Or better yet we'll just switch to youtube for vods if this keeps up

Still happening, I have to keep pausing/unpausing VODs to watch them even on channels where I'm subscribed and paying. This is awful. It didn't do this before.
