Make a sleeptimer
For mobile, tablets or app on the ps4. It would be awesome to have an autoshutdown if you fall asleep, like I do often. Maybe with a custom timer for individualy shutdown time.

In iOS at least, this is already possible via the built in timer - select "Stop Playing" instead of an alarm sound.

Why is Twitch ignoring this since years now?

This 💯! I often fall asleep to comfy streams and then get woken up because another streamer was raided who is louder or playing a stressful game. Also bad sleep quality and weird dreams from that issue.
Because of that I now avoid watching Twitch before bed but it would be rad to be able to fall asleep to it in the safe knowledge that a sleep timer feature will close stream and go silent to ensure uninterrupted sleep.

I know a lot of people including myself watch twitch to fall asleep. But when it’s still going hours later and wakes me up it’s not great. Could you please add a sleep timer like a tv has so it shuts off or at least mutes (so you can still get your ad revenue) after a certain amount of time?

hi! I really like to fall asleep watching twitch and would like to have a sleep timer in the twitch app so that my phone doesn't work all night

Please enable a sleep timer for when the streamer ends stream the sleep timer will turn the application “to off” or however. Like Netflix, I fall asleep to Netflix every night simply because when it turns “off” my Xbox and TV auto shut off. With twitch when someone goes offline it stays on all night just to wake up and find my Xbox and TV have been on. I would fall asleep to twitch every night if I just knew it would shut itself down (like Netflix) several minutes after streamer ends stream.

We could really use a "Are you still watching" button on mobile that would popup after 30/60 minutes of no user interaction on mobile devices.
I constantly fall asleep watching Twitch and by morning the phone battery is dead and very hot).

In addition, a simple setting allowing to automatically close the app when the stream ends or the streamer starts hosting someone would make sense, too.

For live videos and vods i tend to put twitch on when going to sleep. A way of setting a timer which pauses the stream would be very helpful so you can continue watching the following day and it's easier to find where you were.

Yes please! I've been wanting this feature forever! I love falling asleep to stream but hate that it will just go on forever after I fall asleep.

Yes! This feature would be fantastic to have and I have been wanting it forever. For some reason it won't let me vote for this (or anything else) and I am sad

I hope this feature could be added, it should be simple enough to do.
My favorite thing to do was watching Lirik and the guys at night while trying to sleep. Many times I'd pass out with my phone in my hand and I'll wake up to a smoking hot phone!!. No wonder it is so since it's been playing a video for 8 hours.
I stopped doing that in fear it might explode in my face one day lol.
Twitch please, help prevent a future crisis :p. -

I would REALLY love this as a feature; or at least somehow disable hosting... Waking up to a hosted loud stream sucks.

Would make sense on the app

this doesn't sound like anything the general populous would use: a big part of twitch is the interaction between the chat and the broadcaster. if a broadcaster has the intent to put you to sleep, then beg them not to host somebody who will "jar" you awake. otherwise, it's your own fault for being careless. maybe try looking for another app that will turn your phone off after a set duration or watch an asmr video on youtube before bed.

I love watching twitch as I fall asleep, but not having a sleep timer is kind of a bummer. I think it would help with:
-It could save data as it would auto turn off twitch after you fall asleep (assuming no wifi).
-It would also save battery life. I have sometimes woken up to a low battery because it ran most of the night
-It would help prevent people from waking up after they have fallen asleep. Sometimes you watch some streamer who is chilled and laid back and you you easily fall asleep... only to later be jarred awake by someone they hosted at 4am who is raging at the game (been there, it sucks).I understand development time is limited, but I think this would be a great idea the mobile app would benefit from.
Thank you.
