The new IOS update is abysmal. Not only is it visually unappealing to look at, each followed stream takes up 1/2 the screen so you have to scroll for a painfully long time to find what you want to watch and you can’t no longer check who is live unless you want to scroll for 2 minutes, it is damaging to smaller creators. The streams with the most viewers appear on top (as they have) but now to find the streams with fewer viewers you have to swipe for such a long time that viewers (myself included) are fatigued trying to get to the bottom of their followed page. It will certainly effect smaller creators as a big percentage of viewers are mobile users. I’m upset with the update as a creator myself. It’s hard to grow when your own viewers have to swipe for 3 minutes just to reach your stream. The smaller list was completely fine as it is and I’m not sure what the idea behind the update was. Seriously, the streams are now comically large on your screen. It’s aggravating and unnecessary.

I am an avid user of iPhone mobile games. So my suggestion is limited to my experience only.

Recently changes were made to update users of the twitch stream games option for screen sharing/streaming but I hope you don’t forget that we want display features like any other streamer would have access to. Not only do they improve the look of a stream they allow us to interact better with our audience. If I can’t see chat how can I engage honestly and in real time?

Weeks of my tinkering with both twitch and obs apps have lead me to believe it’s not possible to stream and use overlays and widgets/alerts etc while using a mobile game unless you use the screen mirror/share option with a PC and obs or at the very least have a second mobile device.

I can mention all the work around a and failures and also how it’s game specific which drives me bonkers but bottom line this is inconvenient for me as a content provider. And I really enjoy twitch. So I want to see it changed and I want to be here when it does.

Whether this is game related or device related please consider the option to add some basic/minimal form of integration of our widgets and obs overlays to our mobile stream via the twitch app. Jump on this now.

The reason I stress this more is that YouTube and other competitors are already working on it.

Twitch needs to be the pioneer of the ever growing mobile game streaming market. Not just because a small streamer like me needs the features to grow but because all streamers should have the mobility that the technology already provides within the streaming service they use for games!!

Game streamers need chat, alerts etc just as much as cam streamers.

Not an "idea" but more of a complaint...and I'm aware I'm posting in the wrong area. I'll post in the right place and follow your "rules," Twitch, when you fix your app. I constantly have problems with the Twitch app on my iPad mini 4, my iPad Pro, and on my iPhone 11. I need to drop my quality down to 240p and sometimes lower to view a live stream without it stopping every minute. My home Internet streams 4K and sometimes 8K without issue, so I should be able to view Twitch in basic 1080p resolution, with every other piece of equipment that uses the Internet inside my home either off and/or unplugged, right? Is there a better app that accesses Twitch data besides the official Twitch app?

Push notification/widget for follow alerts, subscriber alerts, overtop of other apps, so that if we are distracted by the game while streaming on IOS, and possibly chat notifications also, so that streamers can see what their chat is saying without having a second device. This could also be used for donations, hosts, raids, bits. As long as the chat message isn’t too long, it should work for that also, but most streamers, would likely be happy to have the notifications for the follows, subs, etc, and still use a second device for chat, but that way for smaller streamers, they get that notification, and allows them to acknowledge chat, in case we get forgetful!
