Show bot chat messages in the users chosen language Many channels I watch regularly communicate at least in two languages, and therefore send out chatbot messages in multiple languages as a long message.
For example, "Follow my Instagram at ig.com/username // Folgt meinem Instagram at ig.com/username".
It would be great if there was the option for chat messages sent via API to provide a default message with translations. Users would see bot messages in their native language or the broadcaster's selected language if no matching translation was provided. This could be extended for other functions, such as shoutouts.

Extend Clips response with video_name and game_name The clip response already include both id and name -fields for some data -- broadcaster_id/broadcaster_name and creator_id/creator_name.
It would be helpful if the same was true for game_id and video_id, so we wouldn't have to resolve these by making additional requests.
game_name: the title of the game being played.

Conflict between docs and reality on refresh tokens expiration I became to have an expired refresh token and the API answered with a code 400 Bad Request. May updating the docs be a good idea.

Video clip overlay hovering duration I have a iOS mobile app that embeds Twitch clips retrieved from the api. When a user taps the big play button in the center of the video, the video overlay (thumbnail, title, controls) stays hovering for close to 6 seconds. Tapping the video again to hide to overlay does not work.
However, when a user taps the small play button on the bottom left corner and then taps on the video, the overlay hides instantly.
Having a significant portion of the video content covered for the first 6 seconds of the clip is a bit annoying, and most users…

App Scoped UserIds This is an unpopular idea, because it would significantly change the developer experience and make cross app tracking of users 'more difficult, but not impossible'.. and also, it would increase security and improve user privacy.
Return only Opaque User Ids. Do not have the UserID returned by the API to be the same one that other user data is indexed by. Add Delete Subscriptions by Broadcaster ID Add a broadcaster ID to the https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#delete-eventsub-subscription endpoint so we can do a simple API call when we get a user authorization revoke to be able to clean up all eventsub subscriptions for that broadcaster.

API Endpoint for searching tags by names Currently, you can use https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#get-all-stream-tags to get all tags, and then manually iterate through to find tags with given names, but this can be slow (2-3 seconds to search for 8 tags in my test using twurple). It would be better to have an endpoint similar to https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#get-games, which allows for a name query parameter. Of course, for tags, this would require also including a language parameter for the IETF language tag.

Allow 2 Overlay Extensions: Game Specific Overlay + General Overlay Console AND mobile gamers have INCREDIBLY few options for overlays.
But we appreciate the 1-2 teams out there trying to make things work completely source agnostic... for example... Overlay Expert.
However there are games with Game Specific Overlays (BL3 which also supports console, Lost Ark, Card games with mobile OS versions...) that we cannot use at the Same Time.
Even if we just want to put in some nice alerts for thanks for following and etc.
EXAMPLE: Play Destiny 2 on Console/PC/Cloud with cross-save-etc? How about the D2 armory extension + an overlay extension for your followers?

Categorize API version Search on Forums With the Legacy Twitch API v5 (i.e. kraken) finally coming to a close, it would be nice to be able to search the dev forums for info related specifically to helix, as many answers that deal with kraken will be totally irrelevant and outdated now. Could be as simple as adding "API + helix" category to the advanced search options (similar to the current "API + Migration" category). I feel it would especially help newer developers on the platform to not go down rabbit holes of (now) unusable information and answers. Thank you very much!

Follow relationships between broadcaster and a list of users At the moment we can either page through all followers of a specified user or check the follow relationship between two specified users. What we can't do is to provide a broadcaster and a list of users to get the follow relationships between the given broadcaster and the specified list of users. There is an endpoint for broadcaster subscriptions (Get Broadcaster Subscriptions). It takes a broadcaster id and a list of user ids. Please provide a similar endpoint for broadcaster follows (Get Broadcaster Follows). It would be very helpful and could reduce the amount of requests against the Get Users…
