Lookup User by Display Name Add a "/users"-like API method that supports display names. This will let bot commands which have a username parameter support Asian-family character display names to be passed the same as Roman-alphabet channel names. It will also let systems verify that a provided name (channel or display) exists on Twitch, and merge any information for a user's display name with the information for that user's channel name, to prevent "duplicate" sets of data: one for the display name; one for the channel name.

[Charity] API to get donations of a recently ended Run The API for "Get Donations" currently only supports being able to get the donations of the currently running goal.
It is a common use case for when an eventsub charity.stop occurs that you would then go to the API can fetch the donations incompleteness for that charity drive.
And since it stopped the API will not return anything.
Please extend Get Charity Donations to support a campaign_id parameter.
This may required "Get Charity Campaign" to be extended to return recently closed Campaigns. This is similar to how Hype Trains API's work where the Get Hype Trains API will return recent…2 votes -

Please provide an API that allows authorised parties to increase/modify the goal on the channel.
The primary reason for this is to allow a moderator to update the goal whilst the streamer is busy streaming/reading donations/playing the game.
This could also be used for tiered targetting/target goals in an automated fashion "hey chat we met goal one of 100 dollars, lets get to goal two of 1000 dollars" and the control bot can auto update the goal when the first goal is met

VIP add/remove event Adding new subscription types for the VIP add and remove event (Like existing add and remove moderator events)
It would be great to be able to create an interaction in stream when the streamer (Or a moderator or any other automated system thanks to the API) adds a VIP.

Followed categories API It's possible for a third-party app to query a user's followed channels, but not followed categories. This is a very useful tool for creating alternate views to a follow list
Use-case: Raid recommendation tool - it compares channel stats to your own and recommends those that are most similar, and also those you haven't recently raided. To do this, it needs to start with a list of everyone you follow who's live, and then does further research.

Please provide the ability to
- get the current value of "is rerun"

Allow adding single character blocked terms via the API Twitch's UI allows you to add terms that have only a single character to them. This is good because it allows us to block some characters that are usually used on ascii copy pastes (like "⣿", for example).
Unfortunately, the API imposes a limit of a minimum of 2 characters per blocked term, as seen on the docs:
"The word or phrase to block from being used in the broadcaster’s chat room. The term must contain a minimum of 2 characters and may contain up to a maximum of 500 characters."

Bad enough you interupt content to show me a ******* add I have no ***** to care for, you also have to plug the **** on my screen while I am watching. And the content creators run personal ads.. This is too ******* much. I came to this from TV to avoid ******* ads

Vod chat for helix Currently twitch embed does not support vod chat and neither does the helix api.
Twitch only allows vod chat to be seen directly on the website.
This data could be used in a great number of ways by third-parties particularly video editors.
Please add a way to retrieve chat for vods

Extend the Channel Ban to include deleted messages Currently Channel Ban will report the moderation events of a time or ban, but it doesn't report/include information about deleted messages.

Where is the name listed? "Set Name to your application's name. The name must be unique among all Twitch apps. Your app's name is listed on the Connections page under Other Connections if your app requires user consent to access or modify the user's resources." I do not understand where the name is listed, when I am on the page on which the link sends me there is not that.

Get Banned Users should work for all channels authenticated user is moderator of I feel like I’ve seen this suggested before, but I’m unable to find another suggestion for this currently.
Anyway, right now Get Banned Users (https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/api/reference#get-banned-users) only works for the user that is authenticated, regardless of them being a moderator for other channels.
It would be very useful if the restriction on
