Monitor and Restrict User commands as API endpoints
4 chat commands that would be great to have as API endpoints:
/monitor USERNAME - Start monitoring a user's messages.
/unmonitor USERNAME - Stop monitoring a user's messages.
/restrict USERNAME - Start restricting a user's messages
/unrestrict USERNAME - Stop restricting a user's messages

Seconding PirateSoftware. Wasting their time and resources prevents them from being able to spam other streams as easily, and being able to restrict them would do just that.

Its funny for the streams. They love to drink the tears made by those users wasting time thinking their spamming chat when no one can see it!
This is a great tool for streamers and should be added for them. It also allows for automation of stopping spam allows mods to have time to deal with other things that cant be automated.

This would give streamers a different tool in dealing with accounts (like bots) that are spamming messages. They could restrict the account automatically and allow the mods more time to sort through the accounts.
Also with restricting a bot, it wouldn't know it's been silenced instead of making new bot instantly.

send bots to the shadow realm with the help of other bots

We really need this!
Being able to restrict someone ensures they don't know if their spam attempt has worked. This allows moderation bots to block hateful messages without the sender knowing they are banned.

Piratesoftware currently working on a new moderation bot. And we came to the conclusion the bot should have the option to "restrict users" instead of outright banning them.
This leaves bot attackers of all kinds doing the opposite that they want.Instead of reaching their goals of advertizement/disruptance they will scream into nothingness.
The result of this that attackers keep wasting recources on streams where they cant affect anything since they cant detect that they are shadow banned.
Building this into all kinds of bots could deliver a serious blow to botters. -

This would actually be really useful for moderation related tools to supplement the features of automod, etc.
