Documented API for streams and VODs It would be most helpful if there was a documented API for accessing live and VOD video streams that 3rd party clients could use.
It's no secret that there are a variety of 3rd party clients for different platforms that use undocumented APIs that Twitch has made available for a long time. Understandably this is not officially supported, and the future of this status quo is unclear.

Moderator Actions PubSub topic should work for all moderators of the channel The
chat_moderator_actionstopic in the PubSub documentation appears to only work with a broadcaster OAuth token. This prevents third-party modding tools that don't use some kind of centralized system from accessing information that is vital for effective modding (such as which mod performed an action, actions that aren't otherwise visible like unbans and viewing and approving messages filtered by AutoMod).With a centralized system the broadcaster could provide a token somehow that the moderators don't need to have access to directly, however with purely clientside tools this is not feasible. I'm also not sure why moderators should not have access…

Copy Subscription Support for channel moderation support in extensions https://discuss.dev.twitch.tv/t/new-extension-policy-updates-including-a-moderation-section/24410/3
As noted for the new policy, we should prevent people banned/timed out from the channel, from submitting content.
Theres no way to do that without an extensions developer creating an external oAuth loop to request the relevant scopes from a broadcaster.
Duplicate the subscription scope capability to a the channel moderation scope to facilitate this policy being enforceable and negate the need for two sets of keys for each extension.
28 votesPolicy 7.5 is being removed today as mentioned in our recent announcement. See the post for more information. We will close this suggestion since the functionality is no longer needed to comply with the removed policy. https://discuss.dev.twitch.tv/t/extension-policy-update-moderation/30215

Add existing IRC WHISPER command to IRC documentation The IRC gateway passes whispers using the WHISPER code:
[16:36:15] [@] @badges=bits-charity/1;color=#3E2E18;display-name=foo;emotes=;message-id=2;thread-id=21001676_470220570;turbo=0;user-id=2109996;user-type= :foo!foo!foo.twitch.tv WHISPER myuser :this is a whisperBut I am unable to find any reference to that code on https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/irc/commands where I would expect it, or any other documentation page under the "Chatbots and IRC" section.
I would suggest adding the WHISPER command to the list of commands at the top of the page on the IRC: Commands section, something similar to:
WHISPER Receive a Whisper message from another user
and then the prototype at the bottom, to include the fact that it appears the WHISPER command is…

Please provide a API/Hook for when a broadcaster leaves an extension review When a caster leaves a review.
Currently we can only get these reviews manually via the console.
Please provide, one or more of:
- An API, to collect the spreadsheets like existing ext analytics
- An API, to collect the reviews,
- A webhook to collect reviews into our own system(s) in real time

Have PubSub Channel Points topics fire an event when an unfulfilled reward has been marked as completed What's been made available for the events from PubSub is nice, but currently there is no way to know of when a unfulfilled reward has been marked as complete by a Streamer/Mod. Since the event is already well structured, all that would need to be done is simply re-send the same event with the status property updated to reflect that it was fulfilled (either just using the existing "FULFILLED" value or possibly a new value like "MANUALLY FULFILLED").

PubSub Docs don't mention Token Type From: https://github.com/twitchdev/issues/issues/25
Brief description

Accurate documentation All of your tutorials, links, and/or instructions are dated and unhelpful.
Try having someone follow any of this step-by-step, from scratch, and see if they can get something working, because I, nor my partners can make any usable sense of what is presented about extensions and creating/testing them.

Twitch Drops Well the idea is that the twitch drop works a little different than it's today, because it's so frustrating to see a friend that watches just 10 minutes of stream getting a item that you looked around 5 hours and open multiple streams to get the same item and it don't drop for you, I think the drop could at least consider the time that the person watch because like it works now and thatn situation happens is sorrowfull for some people

We should also be able to modify the flag via the Set Channel Information endpoint

Keep topic type names below 64 bytes/characters Summary:
While bandwidth across networks are usually a concern, internal bandwidth and memory footprints are also a concern. When using "channel.cheer" this is fine, but topics such as "channel.channel_points_custom_reward_redemption.update" approach an unnecessary level of verbosity and is roughly the largest topic name as of this moment. This can be left (though I'd prefer it to be shortened), but future events should be kept on a low byte footprint. Below 64 is my recommendation.Reasoning:
Non-development basis: There is no real reason to provide a name of a topic that is over 64 characters, if this is the case, the name…7 votes -

The documentation does not note the time period that data is retained and returned for.

Fix TMI JS example with Promise handling https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/irc#overview
Row:
client.connect();Should be replaced with:
client.connect().catch((err) => {console.log('Connection error!', err)});
or smth like that.Let's show users how to write good code, and show them, that all Promises should be handled. Unhandled promise rejections is bad!
Tmi.js Library also have connect example which contain promise handling
