Logged in just to +1 this.
I want to get together with likeminded people who play story-based or old games but unfortunately every single person with 1 viewer and their friends, colleagues, neighbors and extended family members play Valorant where I'm from.
Can I please, for the love of god, just filter out at least some games that form 90% of streams to reach out the community I want to be a part of?

Could it be possible to filter out channels without a category as well? I try to sift through channels with low viewership but there's a lot of streamers that can't/don't put proper stream information on their stream.

I have a small web project going on with my friends that wants to deal with this issue you can check it out on : https://shikenso.com/?tab=1

+1 This happens when I want to watch 7 Days to Die, the console version isn't even made by the same developer as the PC version and they are different from each other.

It's a great idea and I wonder why twitch doesn't have such features already...

this would be great because I'm more drawn to streamers who have a certain sensibility rather than streams that run certain games. I regularly scan through tons of streams trying to find people I'd like to follow and end up seeing lots of content I've got no use for. It would be really helpful if I could just remove them from directories.

I would love if there was a drop-down menu where you could only look at certain genres (FPS, MMO, RPG, etc)

I would absolutely love this. Right now I'm not watching streams much because I'm working through a game I don't want spoiled. Lots of the streams I follow are playing it too, which means my following directory is a minefield of screenshots and stream titles I don't want to see. If I could filter a game out of my directory, I could browse to see who's on without risking spoilers -- but because I can't, I'm just substituting in other stuff (YouTube, TV, etc) during times I'd probably be watching Twitch.

I think this should also apply to your following page. I follow several creators the stream a variety different games, it would be nice to hide them when they are playing games that I have no interest in

I really support this. It's way too hard to find new streams and games, considering the first few pages are games I absolutely don't care about at all, like LoL, Dota etc. It would also help smaller streamers, because they could get more attention, once people have ignored certain games, that have previously ''covered'' their streams.

The filtering of certain games really needs to be done. The first multiple pages are always the same 3 games that I and others like me have no interest in watching. I end up just watching the same 2-3 channels I found through word of mouth, because it is impossible to sift through all of the bulk to find new channels to explore.

Filtering by channel and then having to scroll 3 pages to get past all the LoL/DOTA screens is getting pretty annoying.

I love this idea, I want to discover new games and streamers, its very hard when I have to scroll though dozens of channels doing LoL.
I dont wanna follow games either, just filter out some games.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE!! LoL, Dota, Hearthstone! (CS I play myself and I like to watch tournaments, but I hate wathing randoms play it on they own too) Its the same fucking repetitive crap, that never change and you better be playing it yourself if you like, but ITS BORING TO WATCH AS FUCK!!!
I absolutely need to filter those crap boring games out of my Channels list to get to channels of people that I might actually like, which arent streaming that crap 24/7 and nothing else. It would also help those smaller streamers to get noticed, because they are hidden under that LoL crap now somewhere down. I absolutely dont get the people who go to twitch to watch some random play tedious 40min game of fucking LoL, just go play it yourself.

I would love to browse the Channel Directory and filter out games I don't care to watch. Especially large popular games like LoL or Dota.

You can follow games, and pull up a list of only the games you follow.
