Real-life fishing streams already exist on Twitch, but there is currently no dedicated category for this content. These streams are buried within broader IRL categories, making them difficult for viewers specifically interested in fishing to discover.

While Twitch already provides a Fishing tag, a tag does not offer the same discoverability as a dedicated category. Searching for “Fishing” on Twitch also primarily returns fishing video games, including an existing game entry simply named “Fishing”, rather than a place for real-life fishing streams.

A dedicated Fishing category would give creators and viewers a common place for all kinds of real-life fishing content, including freshwater fishing, saltwater fishing, shore fishing, boat fishing, competitions, and other live fishing activities.

This would improve discoverability for an existing type of content, make it easier for viewers interested in fishing to find relevant streams, and give the fishing community on Twitch a dedicated place to grow.
