"Mini Painting" or "Miniatures" Should be a Category

"Mini Painting" is a distinct and vibrant community on Twitch, but it does not have a logical 'Category' home on twitch. This community is currently divided amongst a handful of existing categories which are each misleading or overly general.

"Mini Painting" streams are easily recognized by an overhead shot of hands painting miniatures for RPGs, Board Games, Tabletop Wargames, or for display. These streams often have a secondary face-cam, and possibly even a third camera for a paint palette. They are a distinct type of content. Typically there are close to 1000 concurrent viewers watching content creators from the Mini Painting community.

The easiest way for Twitch to support this branch of content is to give it an appropriate name. "Mini Painting" is my suggestion, but "Miniatures Painting" or "Miniatures" also give the correct idea.

This community is currently split between existing categories such as "warhammer," "art," "makers and crafting," and "just chatting." This hurts discoverability for mini painters. They are all overly broad, and they are often misleading.

Please, Please, PLEASE add "Mini Painting" as a category. :-)

    Very much agreed - Not every painter is doing Warhammer (Relic Blade, OPR, Busts and more artistic pieces, etc) and also hides the painters among people who are actually PLAYING Warhammer. Please make a separate Mini Painting hobby category!

    This would be very welcome. Right now it is a trial to have to sift through streams that share some viewership. Makers and Crafts has some miniature painters. Warhammer has some miniature painters. Just chatting has some. But having to look at every recommended stream to find them is tedious.

    needs to be a thing so the hobby can be found easily not every mini painter is doing warhammer some are doing models, and a lot are doing dungeons and dragons miniatures

    there used to be a category for Miniature painting, then in Twitches infantine un-wisdom you seemed to tag all mini painting as Warhammer, while the table top Warhammer and 40k ARE mini's not all mini's are games workshop and forge world owned. there is D&D, multiple other war games and all kinds of other miniatures that get painted they do not all belong to games workshop.
    So give us back out Miniature painting Category Twitch!

    Getting rid of Creative and the subcategories made discoverability of mini painters or finding the right place to stream difficult. As someone who mostly paints Star Wars Legion and Marvel Crisis Protocol finding the right category to stream in feels daunting because I don't want to misrepresent myself.

    Yes yes yes! a Miniatures, or miniatures art category would be great. Miniature painting, sculpting and gaming can all live happily there. Instead of being spread out through warhammer, d&d, art, makers and crafting and etc.
