"Coworking and Study" Category
Last year, you all implemented a "coworking" tag for WFH, study, and remote working streams.
All of us in the coworking community really appreciated the tag! It helped users and viewers find streamers to study alongside, especially in a time when everyone was working from home. Even now, a year and a half out from the tag introduction, many users are still working from home, looking for coworking streams to pass the time and find company in.
Unfortunately, the addition of custom tags—while innovative and helpful for many streamers generally—has presented a problem for the coworking community. It's no longer easy for coworking streamers to use their designated tag to aid discoverability.
There are, after all, SO MANY iterations of "coworking" that could be used: "coworking," "co working," "study," "WFH," "costudy," "working," "studying," working...." and the list goes on.
This lack of clarity has effectively nullified the benefits that the designated "coworking" tag gave us back in early 2021, muddying the waters and hampering discoverability for coworking streamers.
ALL THAT SAID, now that custom tags have been introduced and the discoverability environment has changed for us, it would be incredible to get a designated "Coworking and Studying" category for coworking streamers to live in. Not only would it help viewers find us, it would also help us discover other new coworking streamers much easier—especially when not many know how to use the tag system efficiently.
Thanks so much for considering!

I wish we have a "SWM" (Study With me Category), we currently use the category"IRL/conversation" to stream this kind of content, but it´s too diferent. There are people studying and working together and I think it would be easier to the people thats are looking for this :D

A category for studying since we have a lot of study streamers. It would honestly help out so people don't have to search just chatting category to find a study streamer

¡Gracias!

Create a "Study with me" / "Study time" category.

Educational content:
2020 was a revolutionary year for streaming platforms where virtuality was taking the lead in adapting traditional media to a new way of being connected to the world through virtuality, choosing live streaming platforms as an option very much more open and accessible to the public.
New trends related to educational content on the platform were emerging as traditional media were adapting to virtuality where interaction with the chat proposed a greater closeness with the audience sharing a much more interactive environment for people who usually dedicate their time to education and study.
Adding these categories would promote educational content on the platform, make it easier to find it, and new content creators would emerge as well as educational institutions willing to broadcast live on Twitch as a communication channel to promote learning among the younger audience.
Within this category there will be several topics such as scientific dissemination, history, philosophy, theater, music, technology, programming, design and, many more, leaving a free choice of the specific topic that the streamer wishes to develop during its transmission.
Pomodoro (Study with me):
As a result of the virtuality of the classrooms in educational institutions, students spent even more time fulfilling their academic tasks, this gave the opportunity to share, through live broadcasts, that study time with other students who were going through similar situations , where the Pomodoro study technique is practiced, with the aim of making more efficient the productivity and concentration that you dedicate to a specific task, efficiently managing your time.
These categories would greatly benefit the average viewer who usually consumes this type of content, and in turn, would awaken the interest of the audience that is not familiar with this type of content on Twitch.

Agreed. I'm part of the language community, and I feel Duolingo should be classified as a game and Language Study should be a tag. There are other language learning programs used besides Duolingo, and in addition many people use books/audio or video recordings/flashcards and other non-game/non-computer-program study tools/methods.

I feel that Twitch needs a category for Studying, as i've joined a few study streams where viewers study with the streamer etc. I recommend adding it as a category since at the moment, most of them use Just Chatting, even if they aren't actually chatting in the study portions. It would also make it a lot easier to find such streams.

Please add MARTIAL ARTS as a new category – it falls under fitness and health, but it's not really that.
We study and teach Japanese sword online.

Hi! My streamings are about this and I haven't found a category that fits with what I do. So I came to suggest exactly what you are talking about.
I hope someday Twitch reads your suggestion and thank you for mading it :D

With more people staying at home learning, and even for myself as I start school in August, I thought it would be kind of nice to have a category like "study buddies" where you could watch people study.
I think it would be great for streamers who want to talk out their subjects to an audience/see if their ideas make sense, or help them remember things.
This also gives the viewers ways to possibly improve their studying techniques and in turn learn more about the subject.
Or, if the person likes a quiet environment a viewer could be there just for support. I think it would be great if a viewer(s) and a streamer team up to keep each other accountable/help them focus.
