Dungeon Alchemist category for streamers
Dungeon Alchemist is an AI-powered map making application for fantasy games that allows you to create high-quality maps easily and fast. Similar to Townscaper, it allows people to make fantasy maps with just a few clicks.
We expect quite a few people will be streaming their mapmaking, but DA was rejected from IGDB because it's not exactly a game. That's why I would like to request that it be added as a separate category, so people can properly categorize their streams.
TTRPG Tools is a very important category to many TTRPG stream consumers. I wholeheartedly support this!
With the rise of TTRPG participation, a category for tools such as Dungeon Alchemist, ePic Character Generator, NBOS Character Sheet Designer 2.0, etc. would greatly benefit the TTRPG and Twitch ecosystem.
Been a pain to look for dungeon alchemist in different categories, needs it's open category, surprised there isn't one yet.
Needs a Cartography/VTT category but preferably a Dungeon Alchemist.
Everybody loves a map and map-making tutorials are great, if we cannot get a DA category we should definitely get a cartography one
I'm surprised it was rejected as a game since you buy it from steam and use it to prep games for your friends but if this cannot have a category in gaming then having a map making category for it would be great.
Lots of people watch and make map making tutorials and largely those have a YouTube audience but getting to see them live and interact with people and ask questions would be great for the map making community.
My husband has actually streamed Dungeon Alchemist map making while exploring the features and learning it. There is definitely a base of people who would use this category to create as well as to view.
This platform has been growing very fast with its cute auto populating areas and its 3D look. Adding a category now will save time for later as this gains appeal.
Come on. Lots of people would benefit from a category.
At the very least a cartography category would suffice.
If not a Dungeon Alchemist category, then at least a Cartography one, as has been suggested!
It would be useful to stream how people make dungeons. Just showing the end result is not always useful.
A general Cartography category would be useful for this and several other purposes.
Making Dungeon Alchemist a category would be a great idea. I already use it for my Dungeons and Dragons streams and my players love the maps I make. And if a Dungeon Alchemist category is too narrow a specialization, a general category for map making that world or dungeon builders could choose would be great. It would give a place for like-minded people to share in a passion, or give a place where people looking for usable software, skills to learn, or example to make informed choices, could go to. It’s hard not to see either possibility as a worthwhile category to add.
Twitch, get on this! Support this creative and positive community.
I would love to see a category set for map making as this will encourage more of us to make our own maps and will serve the ttrpg community as a whole. Besides it fun watching people create stuff.
Frankly map creation doesn't feel that far off from an artist doing a drawing livestream so I think a section for Cartography is valid.
Definitely voting for a category for Dungeon Alchemist, whether or not it included other programs that also cater towards building maps/environments/scenes for TTRPGs and other uses. There are so many incredible creators out there, and having the ability to tap into those resources by watching them stream their creative process in building with these tools would be great for others, like myself, who are not nearly as skilled or proficient with these things. Please add a category!
I think at the least it would be nice to have a Cartography category. Lots of people stream their map making process.
There is a lot of interesting maps people are making with this game tool and being able to easily find others playing in the same sandbox would be awesome!
The smooth and ease of use of Dungeon alchemist makes it interesting to watch someone's stream of how they make their maps. This is a designer that is closer to a video game so I feel it would be a good addition to Twitch and it would have lots of crossover interest groups with other streams.
