Good idea

This is a good idea since, there are only a few channels that I watch frequently and not all of them are at the top of my followed channels list (sorted by view count).

yeah thats a big thing i want to push aswell. You need only a "few" channels to actually CUT the ones you are hype-ing if their viewercount drops below the amount possibly listed. Either a "Favorit list" would be nice or make us "rank" the followed streamer top to bottom based on the viewtime spend on these channels.

i mean twitch is tracking our viewtime.. shouldn't be a thing to actually rank them based on that.

When the user starts following several channels, it becomes difficult to find the channels that he really follows and/or likes to watch the most.

This list could be separated from the follows list, nowadays we have <follow list, recommended list> then with this feature we will have <favorite list, following list, recommended list>
