Mechanical Keyboards

As the mechanical keyboard community continues to grow, the Makers and Crafting section is becoming overwhelmingly overrun by keyboard makers. This sub-community continues to exceed beyond the presumptuous categories related to tech and gaming -- our community is filled with creative directors, athletes, artists, designers, etc. Creating a dedicated category for the construction of mechanical keyboards, will allow this sub community to grow with more intention, and allow this niche hobby to have a more significant role in the future of culture and tech.

    Great thoughts, and I totally agree! Having our own category for the hobby would really allow us to grow. Sometimes I’m not able to find other keyboard builders because of how many other crafters I have to go through.

    Would be a wonderful addition to be able to have not only as a maker but as a viewer who wants to see this specifically and not soft through unrelated crafts.

    Mechanical Keyboard content has been growing exponentially over the past few months and it has been taking over the Makers & Crafting category. I believe that this tag will help the discography of the hobby and can bring a lot more people to find keyboard streamers much better. I believe that twitch has become one of the best social platforms for keyboard content.

    Agreed. Over the time, many mechanical keyboard streamers have been growing and populating the Makers & Crafting category. Now, the community is large enough where mechanical keyboard streamers can benefit from discovery through a dedicated category.

    A 110%. This will allow the hobby better discoverability that would in return help new comers and curious people in filtering, and searching. Kudos Tim for pushing this.

    Agree 1000% -- with the exponential growth in the hobby, having a separate category would definitely help this community grow further. It makes sense that with all the gaming content on Twitch, people using keyboards for gaming would take a lot of interest in this category. PLEASE TWITCH, MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!

    Also, Mr. TimKeyLess,,,,you forgot neuroscientist ;)
