Mechanical Keyboards

As the mechanical keyboard community continues to grow, the Makers and Crafting section is becoming overwhelmingly overrun by keyboard makers. This sub-community continues to exceed beyond the presumptuous categories related to tech and gaming -- our community is filled with creative directors, athletes, artists, designers, etc. Creating a dedicated category for the construction of mechanical keyboards, will allow this sub community to grow with more intention, and allow this niche hobby to have a more significant role in the future of culture and tech.

    While a tightknit community, the mechanical keyboard enthusiasts are also one of the most welcoming out there. A mechanical keyboard category would help newcomers to the hobby and those who are seeking help, to easily find and participate in the ever growing hobby. At first glance it may seem that there are only keyboard builders; however this isn't true. The community consists of builders, keycap designers, artisan keycap makers, keyboard designers, and so much more. I believe that the mechanical keyboard community has grown quickly and large enough over the last year to warrant it's own category.

    This would help the keyboard community a ton because right now gamers are using the newly added tag because they are playing Fortnite or other games with a keyboard and not a controller. The tag is not enough.

    If Twitch makes this a category I will travel to their offices and brew every employee a pour-over coffee all while making complete unbreaking eye contact, while wearing a shirt that says, "Your Parents Are Proud Of You".
