Create "Animals & Farming" as a Category
The Twitch community would benefit if there was an “Animals & Farming” category. There are currently over 200 animal based streamers on the platform, spread out over many different categories, making it difficult to find them. Animal streams attract a specific type of viewer, usually looking for a slower paced stream, where they can relax and make long-term connections with other viewers. It would be much easier to find this type of content with a new “Animals & Farming '' category, helping the community grow and support each other.
Furthermore, animal based Twitch streamers provide content to many thousands of viewers, showing that the Internet wants and enjoys animal based live streams. This style of content has proven its value. With an “Animals & Farming” category, the animal streamers can attract even more Twitch viewers who may have otherwise not found a home.
Without this new category, animal streams will continue to spread out into many categories, sometimes to the point of annoying others. Here is an example: https://twitch.uservoice.com/forums/310210-discover/suggestions/43673121-get-rid-of-animal-streams-in-the-science-technol. There isn’t currently a place for these streamers to move to. Creating the “Animals & Farming” category would resolve these unintended annoyances felt by Twitch users.
Excited to share we launched an Animals, Aquariums, and Zoos category! All of your Very Good fluffy, feathery, or fin-covered friends, all in one otterly adorable place. Thank you so much for this feedback and if there are other categories you think are missing from the site please let us know!

This would be greatly appreciated! While an "animals" team exists and is useful for finding channels like this, it has a few downsides:
- Joining the animals team requires manual work from a very busy Farmer!
- Channels can't show 2 teams on their panel below the stream, if a channel has their own team then "Animals" is hidden
- There's no easy way to discover the "Animals" team other than a channel already listing it in their profile (after recent styling changes, the team is even harder to spot)If you look at the streams in the "animals" team, you'll see they're scattered across various sections like ASMR, Science & Technology, Music, Just Chatting, Pools, Hot Tubs, and Beaches, Always On.
Having one central category where all of the channels can live would be a positive change, and definitely make it easier to find the kind of streams we're interested in. As it stands I'm only able to find most other similar channels thanks to the Animals team, a category would be so much easier for everyone.

Yes, please, it's so difficult to find them when you really want to.

Can we also get some new tags, like Agricultural, Livestock, Farming (that doesn't mean farming in games for points) Farm maybe, Farm Work, No-Till, Organic, Regenerative, soil, and a few others while we're at it? I'm doing IRL farming mostly now, currently building greenhouses and putting the farm back together, but these tags and new category sure would help.

I want this for Farmer Spence, for Mary and her milk monsters, for CritterVision, for our local friend Hoothouselivestream, the amazing work that Wild Earth does, and for the #1 hot tubs & streaming streamer, Marine Animal Rescue! There are so many wonderful animal channels on Twitch that deserve this category!
