Proposal: New Twitch Category "Lost Trades" – Solving Variety & Niche Discoverability

Summary
We propose the creation of a new, unified category: "Lost Trades." This hub is designed to solve critical discoverability problems for two major underserved content types: the Traditional Variety Presenter (the Jack/Jane/Enby of All Trades) and Specialized, Humanistic Niche Skills (like Puppetry, restoration, and forgotten crafts).
I. The Market Rationale: Why "Lost Trades" is Essential
The current structure fails to support content defined by skill-based variety and a focus on non-visual performance/discussion. This category solves the Variety Problem (giving a home to the Jack/Jane/Enby of All Trades) and creates Niche Communities (by making forgotten arts visible).
II. Category Structure and Segmentation
To maintain the necessary variety and ensure proper search filtration, the "Lost Trades" category will rely on mandatory tags functioning as internal sub-filters:
#TraditionalVariety: For the Jack/Jane/Enby of All Trades (skill-based variety).
#HistoricalSkills: For antique restoration, vintage repair, and historical research.
#NichePerformance: For specialized, often forgotten arts like puppetry and calligraphy.
#PublicDomain: Showcasing of freely shared films, music, or archives.
III. Category Definition and Boundaries
Category Description: Lost Trades
The dedicated hub for skill-based variety, historical arts, and specialized performances whose content is not served by Art, Makers, or Gaming. This category celebrates the Jack/Jane/Enby of All Trades and preserves traditional, humanistic skills.
Please Note: This is for streamers focused on demonstrations, skill-sharing, or specialized crafts. Streams dedicated solely to gaming, professional art, music performance, or general non-thematic chatting must use their specific categories.
