CyberSecurity
I would like a Cyber Security Category. There is a large community of CyberSec streamers and even more followers. Currently there are only 3 categories we can stream under:
TryHackMe
Hack The Box
Science and Tech
TryHackMe and HackTheBox are usually never used as although we do stream content from both websites we will often swap platforms or stream other platforms/things in between.
Science and Tech is the closest category we have however CyberSec Streamers usually get lost among all the other streamers and it can be hard to differentiate between the CyberSec Streams and Programming Streams as they may appear to be the same but are very different in terms of content.

Along with providing a dedicated category for streamers and content creators who have these skills, this category would be a MASSIVE educational resource for those are looking for ways to protect themselves on the internet. Providing a live forum for people to Q&A would be an astronomical bonus to the platform and the viewers!

As an active learner I think this is necessary.

Definitely agree! CyberSecurity has a large community, combining this with ScamBaiting and their community would be interesting and would be a great umbrella for both communities to shine; currently both of these communities are stuck in Just Chatting. This change is a huge must.

Echoing PirateSoftware's idea of including scambaiting in this new cybersecurity category, something like "Cybersecurity and Scambaiting"!

Not just 'hacking' but also things like scambaiting should have a home in a place that makes more sense than being right next to 54-hour model train streams. These people need all the help they can get and viewers deserve to have the ability to find them (imagine trying to find a specific game community in a category called "video games and movies"... that's exactly the problem here).

Cybersec category would be beneficial and getting scam baiters out of just chatting would be a great combo

This category makes sense in the ever evolving world of CyberSec especially since awareness of the with everyday people will most likely have a positive effect on the CyberSec industry.

Combine cybersecurity and scambaiting into a category together! It would be my go to category, if it existed. It makes sense, and just chatting isn't the place for scambaiting.

I find it hard that scam baiters like ScammerPayback and kitboga are lost in "Just Chatting" when they provide cyber security help and advice alongside fighting scammers.

In this current technology climate of people having to worry about bad actors gaining access to sensitive information or deceiving innocent folks via online scams or telephone scams, having a channel for streamers who focus on topics of cyber security, education on scams, and news alerts/explanations for current or potential cyber security threats would be highly beneficial for viewers and provide a place for more people to look for this specific content to feel more secure with their online presence with education mixed with entertainment.

This would be a good change, having a place to more easily find security streams and make self education on the topic easier.

Very important subject with a huge community but no real category that includes the broad aspects of cyber security making it difficult for people to discover streamers based on cyber security

there are a lot of people like me that have noticed a lot of really wired things such as sex trafficking statements and a lot of gang actions going on in chat with a lot of scams i sit here all day doing things like finding people that are not a very healthy for the community so i think there needs to be an increase in security for this site

Twitch as a platform can be used to teach cybersecurity and it's danger. Not to scare but to educate. Cybersecurity is prevalent now than ever for vulnerability, if Twitch can platform people that want to educate people, it's helpful for the viewers.

I really wish I could add more to what people have already stated more eloquently than I could. Adding this category seems to just make good sense, rather than stuffing them into "Just Chatting" or "Science and Tech."

I have recently recieved a cyber security + certification. And believe that this will aid me in learning more in this given field.

Fascinating and wildly helpful for those looking to either stream or watch this type of content.

Cyber security seems like a broad but also very clear category.
Science and tech is way too large and the two others are too precise and don't concern some subject (like scam baiting) -

This category is seriously something the twitch community could benefit from! Many streamer fall under this category and it’s hard to find them currently. The streamers that fall under this category help educate their audiences and have a massively positive impact on their communities! This is something twitch should promote and encourage!

Recommended by PirateSoftware, made a clear and valid explanation regarding why there should a cyber security category due to its clear distinction between existing categories and a growing number of streamers and viewers interested
