Separate tag for LGBTQIA+ Allies
I feel like allies using the LGBTQIA+ tag just because they dont hate minorities still disregards LGBTQIA+ people's experiences and difficulties of everyday life. I think there should be a separate tag for allies so people don't just use the LGBTQIA+ tag for "free clicks", and that theres a tag for safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ people that arent a part of the community itself.
Hey there!
Today we added more than 350 new tags, including a standalone “Ally” tag, and updated the existing “LGBTQIA+” tag to remove references to ally.
For more information, you can take a look at our blog post at https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2021/05/26/celebrate-yourself-and-your-community-with-350-new-tags/.

Can someone give me a quick crash course on how "allies" using that tag to indicate that people who are part of LGBT are accepted without any prejudice towards them in that community... just how is that "disregarding LGBTQIA+ people's experiences and difficulties of everyday life"???? It's cleary just that - show of support.
Using that tag for clicks won't change by making seperate "allies" tag but will only make it worse because you'll give these people another tag to abuse. -

Came here to make the same ask, as much as the LGBTQ+ tag does say "for allies" I think it's more sensible that when you search by this tag, you are provided a list of queer creators. Allies use this tag to simply say "this is a safe space for..." and why dilute the tag for that? Create an ally tag, then the LGBTQ+ tag will be a reliable source for queer creator promotion.
