Make Art/Creative its own directory
Hey all!
We’re excited to announce that we’ve rolled out the new Creative directory today!
As we mentioned before, the Creative directory features creators in our artistic categories including Art, Beauty & Body Art, Food & Drink, Makers & Crafting, and Software & Game Development. This will make it easier for both viewers that want to discover creators in these categories and creators looking to find and connect with others who stream creative content.
We expect these directories to continue to grow over time, so please keep the ideas coming. And if you believe an existing category is missing from this list, please let us know.
Thank you for all your feedback and as always we look forward to more of it. We’re looking forward to seeing you, your communities, and your creativity in the new directory!

Putting Art in IRL, when there's so many artists doing different things in different mediums that isn't even in IRL is such an oversight. It's like putting Gaming in IRL

ADD AN ART CATEGORY ON ITS OWN INSTEAD OF PUTTING IT RIGHT BELOW THE IRL SECTION!

Art is popular, but still underrated and hard to find! Please make it its own category, it and its growing community really deserve it!

I'm confused as to how "Art" counts as IRL. Going through the most popular art streams on twitch right now i think i counted 15 that could be counted as "IRL" because they are doing brush work, one was doing tattoos. This is of the first 160 channels in the "Art" category. The rest is digital art that is being captured through an OBS/Streamlabs window capture system, not a camera. So how is this considered IRL>?

Art and Creative needs its own category. Doesn't deserve to be buried out of site more.

Art/Creative needs to be in its own category. Twitch as a company wouldn't be where it is without its in-house artists and graphic designers; why relegate art and creative streamers to IRL, when they're so much more than that?

Art or Creative in general deserves its own category. When I think about "IRL" I don't really think of artistic endeavors, I just think vloggers and stuff like that.

Dont put Art in IRL. I love to browsing the art category and find some amazing artists. Theyre so chill and entertaining.

Art being removed as a category shouldn't have ever been remotely considered. Where would anything on Twitch itself be without artists? Why drown out the very voices that keep the platform alive, interesting and inspiring to look at and grow from

A creative subcatergory for artists, DJ's,radio presenters, musicians and more clear notice on DMCA claims.

Art should just be it's own category period. But also making Music it's own category after all the issues with DMCA and streamers not being able to play licensed music, like what are you playing at?

dregonfyre commented
Yes please. And please add specifics to categories.

I constantly find new art channels to raid after I'm done streaming, its how I've found so many amazing artists for me and my viewers to support. These people deserve recognition, not to be buried under an umbrella category.

My art channel gets so buried already and will even more so in "irl" It'd be great to find other artists through our own category. Whether it be music, writing, singing, even dance if someone out there streams it, its all art and deserves its own category.

Considering the number of artists on Twitch, I think it would be more than fair to add this category.

Yawntyy commented
Please please PLEASE give Creative it's own main category, and allow for Art, Music, and Crafts to all be larger subcategories with more niche tags inside of them. This would make it SO much easier to find new creative streams doing what you're looking to watch instead of having to filter through a bunch of band/music artists to find someone doing digital fanart :(

I support making a separate category for creative works!

I strong support the creative categories. They should be more prevalent.

I agree on adding a "Creative" category. Kinda weird that music is considered separate from both art and "IRL"
