Hey all!

We’re excited to announce that we’ve rolled out the new Creative directory today!

As we mentioned before, the Creative directory features creators in our artistic categories including Art, Beauty & Body Art, Food & Drink, Makers & Crafting, and Software & Game Development. This will make it easier for both viewers that want to discover creators in these categories and creators looking to find and connect with others who stream creative content.

We expect these directories to continue to grow over time, so please keep the ideas coming. And if you believe an existing category is missing from this list, please let us know.

Thank you for all your feedback and as always we look forward to more of it. We’re looking forward to seeing you, your communities, and your creativity in the new directory!

Your parameters for categories are confusing & leave the art community feeling snubbed by having music singled out.

    Categories should be more like
GAMES - CREATIVE - IRL -ESPORTS

if you want to be fairer to everyone who uses your platform.

The art community provides so much for twitch (emotes, banners, animations etc) and it’s sad to see that’s all the art forms are lumped into the IRL catergory :((

  • KattKartel commented  ·   ·  Report

Stop neglecting us Artists while you have no issue separating Esports from Gaming but think it would be anything but HARMFUL to us to lump us in with IRL.

ATM music is the wasted because of the DMCA stuff your going through so get rid and make the art its own thing

  • foufay commented  ·   ·  Report

Yes, we really need Art/Creative, especially for beauty creators. If you want to bring some of the beauty community from Youtube to Twitch, make it easier for people to find us!

We should absolutely have an Art/Creative Directory category. There are so many people who have things they want to share on Twitch, and an expanse beyond gaming will be a win-win for everyone!

We definitely need an Art/Creative directory. There's too many different creators on twitch to be shoved into the IRL directory

Twitch doing a Twitch, I see. Well, you have my vote, for what it's worth.

I dunno how to vote but give art its own directory twitch and stop pushing it to the irl directory instead.

How is Music (an artistic form) separate, but artwork and illustrations aren't? It's such a strange decision.
  • freyaloi commented  ·   ·  Report

Who's going to make the emotes, huds, music, and themes for your game streamers if you shun your creative streamers?

Getting rid of the creatives of your community will only hurt your site as a whole in the long run.

Embrace your creative streamers and support them instead of trying to hide them away.

Give us artists our own **** category!
  • ktgdraws commented  ·   ·  Report

Obviously you need to bring the art section back.

  • tyalin_g commented  ·   ·  Report

c'mon twitch really?? art is such a fundamental part of not only streaming but life itself! it's literally everywhere!! please give artists the recognition they deserve!
  • MaxDaisy commented  ·   ·  Report

Art needs to have it's own category! Art streamers add SO much to the twitch community and not making space for them shows a huge disregard for all the work these streamers have done bringing people to the platform.

I only watch Creative streamers. If they go away. I will go where they go.
