Make Art/Creative its own directory
Hey all!
We’re excited to announce that we’ve rolled out the new Creative directory today!
As we mentioned before, the Creative directory features creators in our artistic categories including Art, Beauty & Body Art, Food & Drink, Makers & Crafting, and Software & Game Development. This will make it easier for both viewers that want to discover creators in these categories and creators looking to find and connect with others who stream creative content.
We expect these directories to continue to grow over time, so please keep the ideas coming. And if you believe an existing category is missing from this list, please let us know.
Thank you for all your feedback and as always we look forward to more of it. We’re looking forward to seeing you, your communities, and your creativity in the new directory!

I'm not an art streamer, but art is valuable to our every day lives. All around us is art, in the twitch HQ there is art. So stop punishing those who make our lives just that little bit happier.

Hey Twitch. Your decision to gradually dismantle creative as a category over time isn't going unnoticed. Merging it with IRL is not fair on the artists who already have a hard time with discoverability. These are the artists who make the very emotes that sell your subscriptions.

We artists are in the IRL category now? We are closer to the music category than we are IRL. Art needs its own category, the last place we belong is IRL.

The art category is the only reason I even use twitch

Artists spend time creating things such as emotes, badges, graphics, animations etc for streamers on your platform. By lumping Art under the IRL category you're making it harder for them to be seen.
Music gets it's own category, so just bring Creative back. -

I personally think music should remain in its own category. I know music is art, but for sake of visibility for both music producers/singers and digital art (etc) creators it would be easier for navigational and discoverability purposes to separate the two.

Art streamers contribute so much to Twitch culture through emote creation. They deserve their own category hands down.

Please do not harm the visibility of artists that help FUEL this very streaming platform. Many of your partnered and affiliated users heavily depend on artists for their overlays, splash images, emotes, and now even avatars! Why would you take away their ability to discover the very talent that has helped this platform thrive?

i don't know why you have a music category but not a visual art category.
there's a huge community of visual artists who rely on the platform, and throwing them under the "irl" category is a massive misstep and does a disservice to multiple communities by conflating the two.

Please don't take the art category away we artists are the ones who make the emotes, overlays, panels and banners. I feel like art is a huge part of twitch from body painting to dance and I feel like the creative side of twitch keeps getting the shaft and its wrong. The creative side should be advertised as much as the gaming. There is such a wonderful creative community on twitch and deserves the love and appreciation.

As an artist, i cannot stand by and watch all my fellow people get thrown under the bus while they make the very emotes that pay for your subscription service.

Please give Creative / Art its own section. Your creative streamers deserve more than to be buried under IRL.

Make art it's own category as it always has! You need to respect artists. You don't seem to grasp how important artists are to twitch and twitch users on its own. It's honestly shameful how you could lump in the people that make the emotes, layouts etc into a different category. Show some respect

Putting the art category in irl makes no sense. It’s not irl. It’s making something that doesn’t exist yet. It’s as opposite of irl as you can get.

Placing art under an irl category while it sounds good in theory, in practice irl covers many topics but art is a major category as it covers many sub categories: digital art, clay crafting, drawing, painting, fiber art, etc. Having its own directory would allow for streamers to have a more directed audience like that of the gaming, music, and esports category. IRL is a catch all category which seems more appropriate for cooking, talking, and various DIYs.

Please keep the art category. There is no reason to remove it.
