Make Art/Creative its own directory
Hey all!
We’re excited to announce that we’ve rolled out the new Creative directory today!
As we mentioned before, the Creative directory features creators in our artistic categories including Art, Beauty & Body Art, Food & Drink, Makers & Crafting, and Software & Game Development. This will make it easier for both viewers that want to discover creators in these categories and creators looking to find and connect with others who stream creative content.
We expect these directories to continue to grow over time, so please keep the ideas coming. And if you believe an existing category is missing from this list, please let us know.
Thank you for all your feedback and as always we look forward to more of it. We’re looking forward to seeing you, your communities, and your creativity in the new directory!

Seems like the art community is reaching out because they feel the should have a tag of their own. Does not sound like an unreasonable request. Lets digital artists have a safe and easily accessable space, gives them better opportunuties to be discovered, and will make the community feel more appreciated. Would love to see that art category for the wonderful artists of twitch!

It's not difficult; just create a Creative category, Twitch.

Creativity is what I usually watch Twitch for. IRL is something I never look through. Stop rearranging and putting creatives in the corner.

Without artists people wouldn’t have their stream assets so to get rid the art/creative directory would not be a viable option in my opinion

Art/Creative is so much more than IRL.

Make Art/Creative it's own tab! Those creators deserve that!

Art/Creative is very different from every other category, and it holds many content creators under that title. So please keep it separate from IRL

The Creative/Art community has been huge and has always been growing on Twitch, yet creative/art streams are always looked down upon. please don’t lump us in IRL category. How is creative/art IRL? Why is music - a much newer and more niche category its own thing when creative/art which has been on the platform for a very long time is not? It will be so much harder for viewers to find creative/art streams if they are grouped into IRL. On top of that, creative/art streamers will gave a harder time growing. Why do that to such an already large category/community on twitch?

“Art/Creative” is a pretty standard and easily understood category name that people are familiar with because they see it across lots of different platforms and websites— “IRL” sounds like a catch-all category name that gives no real indication of what kind of content it will include, and its likely not where people will look for art streams. What about artists who are digital based? Is that really IRL? Nesting this under a vague and general category is going to reduce discoverability and stifle channel growth for your creative channels. If you want to grow viewership and visibility for these channels, you need to categorize it at the top level so users can easily find them.

I haven’t started my twitch streams yet but I’d love to be able to feel I can find an audience and that new fans can find me easily where other platforms make it harder to get noticed.

Keep art separate from irl

So disrespectful to all the support we as artist have given twitch by utilizing the emotes features and creating emotes for other creators on the platform. Once again another attempt to stiffle creativity on a platform .

Art/Creative and IRL are such vastly different categories it would never occur to me to look for the first under the second, and there are hundreds if not thousands of artists and creatives who would benefit endlessly from the visibility of a dedicated category

Twitch needs Art/Creative as it's own category, preferably with sub-categories of different types of art/creative projects but maybe that's too much to ask for

I am part of the art community and I want to make my content on Twitch for the future. Please. Make Art/Creative it's own directory.

Emotes, Layouts, Slides, Art is what drives and enriches Twitch, It is an absolute abysmal shame that we must be disrespected like this.

Quite literally an insult to the MASSIVE creative community that Twitch is SUPPOSED to be fostering.

Lumping art with the IRL category is the biggest bonehead move I’ve ever seen. art is a big part of what drives video games as a whole, without something interest to look at no one’s going to bother playing. Not to mention so many artists work digitally and/or don’t have webcams up so I fail to see how a good portion of it qualifies as “IRL”. Art more than deserves its own category and artists deserve a chance at being discovered for what they do best: create.

I never use irl and I am not interested in irl content. I almost exclusively browse and stream in the art category. Should it be removed, I will be less motivated to use Twitch period. Please keep the art category!
