Make Art/Creative its own directory
Hey all!
We’re excited to announce that we’ve rolled out the new Creative directory today!
As we mentioned before, the Creative directory features creators in our artistic categories including Art, Beauty & Body Art, Food & Drink, Makers & Crafting, and Software & Game Development. This will make it easier for both viewers that want to discover creators in these categories and creators looking to find and connect with others who stream creative content.
We expect these directories to continue to grow over time, so please keep the ideas coming. And if you believe an existing category is missing from this list, please let us know.
Thank you for all your feedback and as always we look forward to more of it. We’re looking forward to seeing you, your communities, and your creativity in the new directory!

makes sense to me.

Give artists and creatives space to breathe in a Creative directory. Why you would clutter IRL ,which is mostly for just chatting, with stuff that isn't just chatting is beyond me. Which subsequently pushes literally any creative into non-discoverability for any new users, completely defeating the purpose of the feature.

If I can stream myself painting, and then switch to a game in less than 10 seconds, how is that irl?? Please unblur this line!

Art is art and real life is real life just like music is music if you are going to pout art in IRL then games and music would be in IRL as well.

Not all forms of art fit the IRL directory / Auto Tag as it is! Please reconsider Art/Creative to have it's own directory. The subject matter is so diverse that it's truly a disservice to the Artists on the platform. It's already extremely difficult getting exposure and merging Creative into IRL is another step on the path towards obscurity and no discoverability. Merging Creative as a whole into IRL implies that your viewers are expecting something like traditional art which isn't always the case. That's even if they're expecting art in the first place because IRL can mean so many different things!
So to reiterate, please consider making Art / Creative into it's own directory.
Over generalization is going to jeopardize a lot of artist's exposure and by proxy, their success. -

An Art/Creative tab is highly appreciated. Since it's hard to get discovered doing what you love and getting this category tied to a very general subject doesn't help.

This is definitely a lateral move at best. It's not going to hurt anyone or help anyone really. Most people follow who they want, and look around when they want something different.

Please reconsider adding the Art/Creative Category back into Twitch. It is it's own form of media and entertainment. There are artists need the exposure instead of being buried underneath another category!

Merging with Creative made sense, but trying to attach as a catergory in IRL has little connection as considering most forms are showing the content with sometimes no cam. Combining with Music as another creative directory would make better sense, if generalising is necessary.

creative having its own directory would be amazing because there are so many creative mediums (art, writing, gamedev, animation, etc) that people just don't know exist because there's no easy way to find them and these categories are usually buried under general directory games.

When I want to see art streams, I'll go to the Creative category! It doesn't make any sense for it to go into IRL.

I'd like to request that Twitch add back in a Creative category, with sub categories for Art, Music, Fiber Arts, etc. Creative is so difficult to find in the current line up, and will be impossible if dumped into IRL. I still regularly get new viewers who have been on Twitch for ages, who didn't know there were creative streams.

body painters, digital artists, character artists, traditional artists, canvas, oils... should this be buried in just one place?! ofc not, make art its own category plsss

AhrosArt commented
Art/Creative needs to be its own category. Putting it in IRL will bury channels even further and be harder to find. When I think IRL, I'm not looking for an artist. As an Affiliate art streamer on your platform, please keep Art/Creative as it's own directory.
