Feature Indigenous Streamers
November is Native American/Alaska Native Heritage month do you have any plans to highlight this or feature Native Streamers?

This shouldn't even be a User Voice. This should just be adopted.

This should’ve long been a thing. We barely get any events, celebrations, or spotlights on the platform unless it’s our own Native Family/Cousins. I’ve been a user since JTV one way or another and became one of the few Native Streamers on the platform back in 2015. It’s always surprising how little we ask and hoops we have to jump through for our requests.

11 years being a creator, 6 years on twitch alone. Native americans are pretty non-existent to the platform. Literally as one, when you had even the Trump administration recognize us before a major platform like twitch. Its kind of mind blowing. I guess they were to focused on literally just B.VS.W all the time that happens on this platform.

honestly as an American company this should receive far more support from Twitch and Native Americans/Alaskans shouldn't have to hold a popularity vote to justify their worth and existence on this platform. Why is this not included already in the heritage months programme???

September 30 is the national Day for Truth and reconciliation in Canada. We call this day orange shirt day and we all wear orange shirts to remember each child who never came home from residential schools. Please make this a day for Canadian Indigenous creators too.

As a queer Native Hawaiian indigenous streamer who has recently begun their streaming journey with activist content, I find it appalling that it has been deemed necessary for us to need to vote on and provide support to increase the visibility and representation of Native streamers, especially considering that the Twitch headquarters sits upon stolen native land. If Twitch really seeks to "promote diversity" and honor diverse cultures, then this seems like a no-brainer, not just for representation but it is also an opportunity for Twitch to evaluate the ways in which its algorithms and systems need to be reconsidered to support native content creators.

Why do we needs votes in order for people to be represented?

Having to vote to get representation? Lol typical. Indigenous folks always have to do extra work just to be visible in any space. Do better twitch.

Stop making people vote to be included, Twitch. You can do better than this
(also voted, of course)

Dam twitch is wild for making us vote for inclusion like people don’t deserve to just be included. Voted ✌🏽

Voting for this is silly, it shouldn’t need votes to be included

As a native streamer I would absolutely love this, and it's mind boggling that it's not already a thing

Why do we need to vote for a native heritage month? This should've been implemented at the begining.

Twitch profiting off of their many talented Indigenous streamers without showing them the support and respect they're often denied in other spaces as well? Color me surprised.

Yes, give Indigenous people the chance to be seen just like everyone else.

We shouldn’t even have to vote for this. Just make it happen Twitch

Voting for representation? Really Twitch? If you were leaders in the steaming industry, you’d be building a coalition of indigenous streamers and working with them to plan a November celebration.
