Create broader game categories for franchises that lose visibility when split apart
Titles like the Super Smash Bros. games, Street Fighter games, and WWE/WWF wrestling games often attract the same viewers, regardless of which specific game in their series is being played. It would be convenient for viewers and helpful to streamers to provide a page that groups these games together. These could be unique grouping pages similar to broadcaster teams, which would allow regular game categories to continue unchanged. Ideally, these categories should also appear in the game directory to make them more visible to potential viewers.

This is seriously vital for many game communities, and in some cases the lack of such a feature has lead to category inaccuracy for the sake of viewership.
TrackMania 2 for example has four separately released titles, but since Stadium is overall more popular and gathers the most attention, everyone simply streams under TM2 Stadium regardless of which TM title they're playing (even for the older ones in the franchise)Twitch generates game categories from the Giant Bomb database, which does tag the relevant franchise(s) for each game, so the data is readily available if they decide to implement this.

I am sad to see that this has been posted for a year with little comment. This would be a great thing for games like Rollercoaster Tycoon that have a million expansions and versions that all have little to no streamers. Would love to have them consolidated.
