Make Art/Creative its own directory
Hey all!
We’re excited to announce that we’ve rolled out the new Creative directory today!
As we mentioned before, the Creative directory features creators in our artistic categories including Art, Beauty & Body Art, Food & Drink, Makers & Crafting, and Software & Game Development. This will make it easier for both viewers that want to discover creators in these categories and creators looking to find and connect with others who stream creative content.
We expect these directories to continue to grow over time, so please keep the ideas coming. And if you believe an existing category is missing from this list, please let us know.
Thank you for all your feedback and as always we look forward to more of it. We’re looking forward to seeing you, your communities, and your creativity in the new directory!

Art should be its own category not related to IRL its just so specific

Why can't there be a creative group with subsections? Artists, cosplayers, makeup artists, tutorial/educational, musicians, even game designers! I'm glad musicians are getting a light to shine in, but lumping every other creative person with IRL is like lumping all sports but soccer under IRL. Let the creative people shine.

IRL as a category is not descriptive nor indicative of what the content is. If I were to go looking for many of the crafting streams that I watch, I would not know to look under IRL if this is how you want to categorize them.
This will lead to a huge loss of viewers for many streamers, users unable to find the content they are looking for, and generally doesn't work for anyone.
Making Art/Creative its own directory will ensure that users are able to find the streams that they are looking for, and that streamers will be seen.

If music has a category then how can Art not?, surely a Creative section would make more sense than having music on its own but throwing the other creative people into the IRL section

With such a vast community of all types of creatives, it seems like someone missed a mark by making the art community it's own sub-section. It makes sense when you have separate gaming and e-sports categories to separate art communities from the IRL section. Plus, with this support, even smaller art and creative streamers are far more likely to gain views and momentum for their own crafts! It just makes sense!

The Twitch art community is constantly recognised by it's users as the best, least toxic and most supportive platform on the internet. Being a leader in that realm can only be beneficial ! It needs to be in it's own category ! Please reconsider.

Art should remain separate, it's an entirely individual thing to IRL and needs to be easy to find.

If we can't keep Makers & Crafting which is a wonderful category that doesn't quite fit with art then Art as it's own category is the next best thing.
IRL just doesn't have the same stuff in terms of streamers and community

I dont understand how music is its own group.
Streams that are pure music or music creation are such a small part. -

This needs to be a separate space from IRL

Art should absolutely have its own category

Yeah, Art and Creative should be its own category. It feels belittling to artists to just lump it into another category.

Art streams are a staple of the Twitch community. If you can separate Gaming and Esports, you can split out Creative/Art from IRL.

I really appreciate your approach to make it easier to navigate!
However, I agree with everyone here - the creative section on Twitch is so immense, so supportive and such a big part of this platform; Shoving it into IRL, where it will simply drown, hurts and feels unfair. There's so many talented artists (and entertainer - content creator!) among us in this section of streams and I would hate to see it being mixed up with something it doesn't really belong to - we are so much more than "just talking".
You gave music its rightful recognition - please don't disregard all the other incredible ways of being creative by making us unseen.

Make a creative directory pls! The art community on twitch is amazingly creative and supportive and wholesome. Allowing the different arts to be discoverable might actually help the section grow and give incredibly skilled people the audience they deserve.
Also, if you were to actually support these content creators you'd make more money off them, sounds like a win-win to me.

Music shouldnt' be the only form of Art showcased on Twitch :< you guys Streamed hours of Bob Ross. Let the Artists be discovered.

The art community of twitch is one of the biggest categories and is literally the backbone of your product. Not giving it its own category is like giving the entire community a massive "*********, we don't care that people will now find it even harder to find you". Move music into a creativity category along with art and any other innovative streaming option.
