Make Art/Creative its own directory
Hey all!
We’re excited to announce that we’ve rolled out the new Creative directory today!
As we mentioned before, the Creative directory features creators in our artistic categories including Art, Beauty & Body Art, Food & Drink, Makers & Crafting, and Software & Game Development. This will make it easier for both viewers that want to discover creators in these categories and creators looking to find and connect with others who stream creative content.
We expect these directories to continue to grow over time, so please keep the ideas coming. And if you believe an existing category is missing from this list, please let us know.
Thank you for all your feedback and as always we look forward to more of it. We’re looking forward to seeing you, your communities, and your creativity in the new directory!

Art is unique, so a minimium of respect on the artist, because the twitch is not only games and fps, art is qhat make the world colourful

Art and creativity deserves its own category, IRL is such a broad concept that the creative streamers will get lost in the flood of everything. Please do not cut out the art/creative category - this would be detrimental to so many of the streamers who do creative things. We NEED this grouping!

ART is it's own category... there is no reason to shove us into irl. We are creators.

If they are going to generalized art into IRL then music should be in there as well and if there is that much generalization Gaming and E-sports might as well be lumped together then. The art community brings some of the most caring and supportive people to twitch not to mention the artists create all the emotes and overlays for ALL the channels.... this is really disheartening

Creative deserves its own category. So many artists who use your platform, twitch wouldn’t be the same without ALL THE ARTISTS BY FAR SO please... we shouldn’t even have to beg. It should be something that’s obvious.tyvm

There is no logical reason for Creative to be shoved into IRL. Not only is it limiting exposure it's extremely harmful for creative streamers.

Why would music, a creative endeavor, have its own directory yet painting, crafting be lumped into IRL? We are creating something, not traveling, or podcasting, this makes no sense at all
I and many in my community only watch creative streams, this feels like being forced to join the debate club so you can discuss knitting!

If they think art should be in the irl category. They may as well put everything in the irl category. Whats the reasoning behind this!?

Please make Creative it’s own category. Having art/creative jammed into IRL doesn’t make sense and is harmful to a lot of Creative streamers.

Why is twitch shoving us into IRL?????
It’s disrespectful. Artists are part of EVERY stream because we make the emotes, the overlays, graphics. Never mind that we make THE ******* ART FOR THEBGAMES THAT HAVE THEIR OWN CATEGORY.I never been so close to quitting Twitch. ********. ********.

The content in categories like art, makers&crafting, and food&drink is fundamentally different from categories like just chatting, talk shows&podcasts, and travel&outdoors in that the former focuses on the "creation" of something while chatting with and educating viewers (like an artist's open studio or a trades reenactor at a living history site) while the latter focus more closely on chatting with or educating viewers, or sharing footage of real places or events to facilitate virtual attendance without any emphasis on making something. Science&technology spans both aspects with it's bevy of incredibly creative programmers making all sorts of things and its many educational channels focused on showing and sharing how things work.

As a creative streamer (crochet, cross stitch, embroidery) I would very much prefer an 'art' or 'creative' category.
IRL doesn't sound like a place to look for crafting streams at all. -
