Trans tag request
It is hard enough finding trans representation in our daily lives. With the LGBTQIA+ tag, one still needs to browse through channels and spend time in them to find trans streamers. A "trans" tag would help people searching for these communities.
Today we are rolling out 350+ tags, including the transgender tag, to provide you with more options on how you express yourself and your content, so that you can more easily connect with one another and build wonderful communities. We are really appreciative for all of the feedback around this topic (and other related suggestions).
We previously told you that we had a better solution to this request than adding the tag, and we were wrong. This has been one of the most popular requests we’ve heard, and the simple truth is that we should have done this sooner. In an effort to think carefully about how to best address this, we only made the situation more difficult. Again, thank you for helping us throughout this process in reevaluating our stance.
Please continue to share ideas and feedback you have to UserVoice, as well as any suggestions for additional tags you feel we may have missed! We are working to invest more into this forum and aim to have faster communications in the future.
Please check out our blog post for more info: https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2021/05/26/celebrate-yourself-and-your-community-with-350-new-tags/

While we’re grateful for the lgbtq+ tags that we are already able to use, a trans tag would be very helpful for streamers and viewers alike. It could not only help give someone a safe place to be but also bring more traffic to twitch as well. Remember, we’re all human.

"As promised – just checking in to let you all know that we haven’t forgotten you. We still do not have anything to share, but the team is reading all of your feedback to take into consideration. Thank you all for your continued patience!"
We are asking you to add a tag, this is not a large or difficult change. Adding pride emotes and putting "pride" in your promo material means nothing when you refuse to enact simple changes that actually make your platform more inclusive. There really is no excuse for twitch to be forcing us to still have this conversation. This could be fixed in a matter of hours if not minutes. This is not a technically demanding request, I'm sure any software development intern could do it. Get it done already. This community is sick and tired of being told to wait.

Speaking as a trans person on Twitch I feel very forgotten and like my feedback is being ignored.
Sincerely, person being unfairly suppressed and ignored.

Y'all don't need anymore reasons then are already listed. Figure this out, now. And if your concern is protecting trans folx from harassment, then punish harassers more accordingly!

Aloha. Just adding my voice. I can't understand why this would be a tabled discussion. If there's a reason for not doing this right away, it would be appreciated if you (Twitch representatives) could openly address that. Otherwise, it may feel like you're ignoring the community, as evidenced by the many posts here.
Please address this or explain why you are not addressing it. There have been two official posts over the course of many months, and neither of those posts actually commits to doing anything. If you say "there might be a better solution" and then go nearly a year without doing anything or even updating the community with more than a note or two to say the topic has not been forgotten (a bit difficult to fathom at this point,) that does not send the message that you care about the issue. Please care about the issue. It affects many lives. Thank you.

you launched your updated TOS guidelines Last month that's supposed to make your platform safe, so now where is the trans tag and identity system that you ignored in November and promised in December.

This needs to happen ASAP. If a community is asking for a way to find one another, then you are responsible for addressing their need.

Get this added - a community is asking for ways to find one another. Stop denying them that.

It should have absolutely NEVER taken this long for Twitch to recognize the trans tag! This is ridiculous!

please add the trans tag it really needs to happen. Its almost been two years and you still havent done anything but give vague promises with no outcome. This is the top tag request; your avoidance of it really shows your lack of concern and its disgusting. Many people have come here adding the feedback you say youre "taking into consideration". This is ridiculous. Not even an update with "anything to share". You have to do better than this.
