Trans tag request
It is hard enough finding trans representation in our daily lives. With the LGBTQIA+ tag, one still needs to browse through channels and spend time in them to find trans streamers. A "trans" tag would help people searching for these communities.

Today we are rolling out 350+ tags, including the transgender tag, to provide you with more options on how you express yourself and your content, so that you can more easily connect with one another and build wonderful communities. We are really appreciative for all of the feedback around this topic (and other related suggestions).
We previously told you that we had a better solution to this request than adding the tag, and we were wrong. This has been one of the most popular requests we’ve heard, and the simple truth is that we should have done this sooner. In an effort to think carefully about how to best address this, we only made the situation more difficult. Again, thank you for helping us throughout this process in reevaluating our stance.
Please continue to share ideas and feedback you have to UserVoice, as well as any suggestions for additional tags you feel we may have missed! We are working to invest more into this forum and aim to have faster communications in the future.
Please check out our blog post for more info: https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2021/05/26/celebrate-yourself-and-your-community-with-350-new-tags/

It's 2021, please allow the #transtag to flourish with real community and support for one another as we have as siblings in this world long before technology came into view; it's time.

How can this possibly still be ongoing with no resolution? Just add the trans tag, and be inclusive to sooooo many creators that use this platform.

Idk what more to do! Looks like Twitch won't do something until it becomes something big, like a Twitter trend with some big streamers retweeting? It is so hard to create a new tag?

What year are we in? Why isn’t this a thing? Visibility is important. Signed, a concerned cis-white dude with two trans siblings.

Being inclusive of the entire community that utilizes your platform is the first step of having a platform. Please adjust your tag options accordingly!

Hi Twitch. In October you posted you haven't forgotten this request, but it's now April and there still isn't a trans tag or this new solution you have in mind. Why not add the tag as a stopgap until you're ready to release this other solution. Representation matters. Every single day matters to trans, genderqueer and non-binary people. Make it easier for someone looking for a voice like theirs to be able to find it.
