100% agree - as a streamer, I keepmy whispers open for giveaways and because moderators know I don't look at discord during streams, so if there's an emergency they'll send a Twitch whisper.
Without moderation options though, it's also one of the easiest ways for people to harass us.
It would be great to have some options...I'll give a practical example of two options I'd keep turned on:
- allow whispers from moderators of your channel
- allow whispers from people you whispered to firstPennyMeowy

This, please!
I'm a streamer working towards partner plus, and at the moment there is no way to have a widget that updates the number of Partner Plus Points in automatic, because there is no way to differentiate between a paid sub and a Prime sub.
Having to manually track the progress down is an annoyance that would be easily avoided by making this little change, and the easier it is for us to show our progress, the more people are inclined to contribute towards it - hence Twitch would improve their revenue share.

Hey all! Thanks for this thread. We recently deprecated anonymous Cheering after we discovered it was being abused. While we understand some viewers prefer not being recognized for Cheering, we made this change to ensure a safer experience for those who were negatively impacted.
We’ve also heard your concerns on what this means for the future of Bits. This deprecation is not related to any plans to limit Cheering with Bits on Twitch, and is solely focused on providing a safer experience for our community.

Just wanted to update this thread that we are doing an experiment right now with Stream Display Ads! These are less disruptive ads that allow viewers to see and hear Creators while being displayed. Creators will receive ad revenue for each SDA shown. You can find out more information here: https://twitter.com/TwitchSupport/status/1603148201489580032

I will be way more constructive later in this reply, but I will start by saying this change is truly awful.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Humans are creatures of habit, Twitch viewers are used to find those information at the bottom of the screen. Imagine one day you clock in at work and discover that overnight somebody changed the placement of all of the furniture and stuff at your office. Suddenly you can't find anything anymore. Well, this change pretty much feels the same!
