How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

  1. Since the Lead Moderator role was introduced I think that the Lead Moderator role should be where you see all the people in he stream seperate and above the moderator role when you click on the view count so it's easy to see all the Lead Moderators and Moderators seperate.

  2. Can we get a category made specifically for things like twerking streams of we are allowing them?
Right now the art and just chatting streams are being flooded with mostly nude people or twerking videos that are flooding out other content.

  3. Basically I want to be able to display specific streams that I mod for on my profile. I'd like it so we can select what ones we want to display.

  4. The Problem:
Currently, the mod anniversary prompt operates on a strict timer. If you are hanging out in a streamer's offline chat and that timer runs out, the prompt disappears forever. This means mods have to either avoid in channels while offline, or constantly refresh to "save" the prompt until the streamer goes live.

    The Solution:
I would love to see this feature behave like subscriber anniversaries. The prompt should persist across page refreshes and future visits until the moderator either chooses to share it, or explicitly clicks an option to "dismiss/not share this anniversary." or the anniversary "expires"

  5. "I want to bring a requirement for an account to become a channel moderator.

    • Requirement: minimum account creation time, for example, for someone to be able to add someone as a moderator on your channel, the account must be at least 7 days old, or even, you must follow the channel for 7 days if you want to be one moderator of this channel.

Every day there are people (with the account created on the same day and using VPN for sure) convincing new streamers to be moderators of their channel, and thus manage to trick the streamer and ban…

  6. Make users use bits to send unban request, and giving the streamer the option to select the custom amount of bits.

So even if the streamer denies the appeal, they still keep the bits.

  7. Twitch is a global platform where streamers and moderators from different countries can collaborate and grow together.
I have moderated foreign channels that later connected with Twitch Italy, but language differences often created barriers, limiting interaction and community engagement.
Breaking these barriers is key to fostering true global connection, where every viewer can actively participate regardless of language. I propose the integration of AI and/or real-time translation tools to enable.
Live subtitle translation in multiple languages, allowing international audiences to follow streams without language barriers.
An in-chat “Translate” button to instantly translate individual messages or the entire chat, while keeping…

  8. I've been for the first time on a channel where I discovered days later that the supposed moderator was an AI (it had a real name, and was talking like a human).

I've legal problems with that because I was never aware anyware that my text in the chat was read and used by an AI. I never agreed to that.

AI mods should have an "AI logo" or there should be a text somewere saying "this moderator is an AI, by talking in the chat you agree to have your text used" or something like that.

  9. As a Twitch user and streamer that is also a moderator for 15+ channels, I would love to have quick access from the main Twitch page or even the dropdown when I click on my icon in the top right corner, it directs me to a page that has the list of streamers that I mod for. Even something similar to the look of the Twitch Teams page where its a list of streamers, with the streamers that are live, at the top of the list.

  10. So i get bullied/harrased while streaming, usernames are the main thing attacking me or friends with really messed up stuff. It is so bad that i have to stop my game and report them and block them.

My idea is, can we please have a feature that says you can only watch this streamer if you are a follower. Not the you can't type anything in the chat ****. Or even have it as a 30 seconds countdown that if the person doesnt follow your stream in that amount of time, they get black screened and a pop up that…

  11. The channel I moderate has a Channel Points redemption that lets viewers timeout a moderator for 10 minutes. The timeout itself works as intended, but it also removes the moderator role, requiring the broadcaster to manually reassign it every time the timeout expires.

Would it be possible for timed-out moderators to automatically regain their moderator role/not lose it at all once the timeout ends? This would preserve the intended functionality of the timeout while eliminating the need for the broadcaster to repeatedly re-add moderators, especially if the redemption is used frequently.

  12. You want us to run ads. You make us run ads. Let us be able to run ads on individual chatters at will (/adjail @user). Corporations may not like the optics of their name being used in a form of punishment, maybe they wouldn't even mind, but you know love of ads is very niche. Let us weaponize it and even streamers who generally don't like running ads will support this

  13. I would like you to implement the option to remove a user from the list of followers as a mod or lead mod, this may help a lot to delete some bot followers that come from a bot raid because some much streamers don´t like to have bots in their channels as followers

  14. Please make it so that if a streamer bans somebody, that person is not be able to have the streamer in their "Streamer suggests these streamers..." shelf.

    Example:

Streamer A and Streamer B are friends.
Things happen and they are no longer friends to the point that Streamer A bans Streamer B in their communities.
Streamer A is no longer associated with Streamer B, but Streamer B still has Streamer A listed on their "suggested streamers" shelf despite being banned in Streamer A's community.

I think that not being possible would be nice.

  15. In the Review recent raids menu a quick option to ban all raiders from the same raid.

It should not be an easy to missclick button, ask to user to write in "CONFIRM" or something to make sure it can't be used by accident.

This Feature would be a great help to counter hate and bot raids.

The channel owner should be able to decide if mods are able to use it or only the owner.

  16. As a streamer it would be really helpful to do some technical/test streams. The issue would be that we can now ruin someones Stream Streak, or mess up your own stats because you go live completely outside of your schedule and without promoting it.

The idea would be to have a option on the creator dashboard to activate a "Preview Mode"/"Test Mode". If you then go live you wouldn't go live for everyone but you could test overlays/events/alerts/features you made yourself. This would also not affect anyones stream streak or your own stats (since it's not a real stream)

    Maybe…

  17. Allow a report system for hate raids that flag the account for future raids, When in future they raid again it notifies the streamer and their mods that the raider has these previous reports / violations. Thus Providing feedback to the streamer / mods in the channel allowing them time to act / prepare and take action against any hate raid.

Example when a raid comes through it states:
"Name" is raiding with 300 viewers ("Name" Has 4 Hate Raid violation Reports).

Additionally an option / button for mods to mass timeout / mute all incoming viewers from this raider…

  18. Chatters that are currently live on Twitch should have a badge next to their name or some type of notification for the streamer. I have seen multiple streamers browse Twitch while they are live and harass other streamers. Being able to see that a chatter is live when they pop in and say "hi" would be a good warning for the streamer.

  19. Implement a design that mods can be rated by streamers and viewers to indicate their excellence in performance. Allow this to be community accessible, allowing streamers to locate the very best mods for their streams and to express the reward of value to moderators who place a great deal of personal commitment into a stream. A reward system could be implemented to add value to this by perhaps lowing sub fees for mods or offering Twitchcon Discounts on tickets for mods that reach a level of excellence.

  20. There should be a way for streamers to moderate what shows in the "Viewers also watch" box, in case of hate raids messing with algo, or when there is bitterness between communities and such. Otherwise streamer's own pages would be advocating for what they themselves disagree with.
