global chat cooldown
Hi to all, talking here as a 5 years experience daily unsing twitch and twitch moderator of small spanish community.
The problem:
Toxicity during events where variety of streamers participate.
Origin of the problem:
Here in spanish communities a percentage of the communities are too emotional and tends to go in other streamer channels and text things that becomes toxic and generates bad feelenigs both the streamers and regular chat users.
We as a moderators have the needed tools to ban them and normally we create moderation discords to ban them across distinct stremers.
Suggestion:
When someone gets banned from a chat gets a global cooldown to prevent this behaviour on other chanels with a popup alert saying something like this: " You get banned from X channel, this action leads to a global chat cooldown of X time, please read the community rules and chat responsably"
What is trying to achieve this:
The point i am trying to achive is that a percentatge of users will tend to think it twice at the time to chat in bad behaviour, this it will not end chat toxicity but i really think this could lead to reduce its impact.
Also the main point is that with this feature enabled in the mentioned events if user gets baned from other channel during that streamers interaction the user could not keep spreading toxicity during the streamers interaction in other chats and it whould really impact on streamers interactions during events lessing the toxicity spreads in chats.
thank you for taking your time reading me and i whould love to know others ideas and feelings on this matter.

It sounds like the proposal made by a different user, that if she bans someone in x channel, then he gets banned in every channel she mods.
That is too much, I understand both concern, but like I said before, it would give the mods too much power on channels that are not theirs.
Even if we ban userx in channel y, it doesn't mean that streamer z agrees with the reason of the ban, and or that he wants random bans in his channel.
I understand how annoying it becomes, I am year long mod too, but that would be too much. In such cases what needs to improve is Twitch reporting tools, since even if you report for serious matters, often they don't take any actions about it. Also seen it myself.
