Chat Verification Criteria should also prevent users from following
Regarding chat verification, it is good that you can set it to email/phone verification if an account is newer than a certain period of time, however I have confirmed that while this prevents an account from chatting, this does not prevent an account from following a channel without verifying.
In the past I have been harassed by people (and seen people harassed) by users who never said a word in chat. Their method of harassment would be to create an account with revealing information about the streamer and simply hit follow. They would be banned, however the account would be deactivated shortly after and a new one created in its place where the process would be repeated, infinitely if a VPN is utilized. Most streamers use some kind of notification system, either in chat or on the screen (or both), some have events lists that keep the information on stream.
The way that the current verification system works does not protect streamers from this very insiduous method of harassment. Please make it so verification methods also extend to follows. I do not want people following me if their account is less than a week old (unless they can verify via their phone)
As a side suggestion, please also make it so users can submit suggestions and feedback anonymously. Most streamers method of dealing with harassers is to ignore them, however they risk being brigaded, or seen to be susceptible to harassment if they raise it here.

Es muy importante que Twitch empiece a poner remedio a los ataques de bots, cuentas peligrosas y ponga mayor seguridad en su servicio porque tengo una amplia lista de posibles cuentas bots y fraudulentas que comparto a continuación

I think it would be a very great idea to have an option in the moderation dashboard to activate or deactivate a filter for follows from accounts with verified email. This can filter (if the streamer wants) all the follow bots, to avoid them following the channel. (If the bots are verified it won't work but it's not very usual).

We need two buttons to be able to activate on our security panel:
+Only e-mail verified accounts can follow my account
+Only accounts created for more than 24hrs can follow my account
I sincerely believe that this would help prevent bot attacks or at least, be a shield for those already suffering from them to buy some time for Twitch admins to delete all bot accounts.

To be honest, I do not know why this was not a feature from the jump. BUT, to combat unnecessary bot accounts, having a verified email to follow a channel would be a good start.

Absolutely massive agree on this. I tried removing a few of the bots that came in and the tool I use ended up removing over 4500 followers and I had from scratch. Please have this implemented.

Looking at the 5.8 million accounts which I have in my known bot list, ~58% of them have a verified email.
This means it's easy enough to do for bot creators if wanted / needed. -

This is a great idea. Just removing existing bot accounts has had minimal to no impact on malicious bot spam, as account creation is just too easy to automate. Anything to break automatic account creation, like email verification, or strong captcha, would be very welcome.

Bots are annoying in several ways including the fact that if you are pushing for partner you can't have any bot viewers or you will get denied. Also the spam from bots is rediculous. I hate having to stop what I am doing to ban bots. Such a waste of time.

This sounds like a fantastic tool to have for streamers to use!

If we can make this a chat restriction, we sure as heck can make it a general restriction with follows.

Yes, without question or hesitation. This is a great idea and will massively help in reducing successful bot raids/attacks.

This would be a great idea, would make it harder for bots/burner accounts to follow and less hassle for the streamer to remove/block the accounts later.

absolutely. Had 43 consecutive bots follow me, making my alerts go absolutely nuts, and my chat get spammed with follow messages. I'm sick of these bots, and want them gone.

Yeah that would be a Good idea to combat the Bots

Everyone knows that bots have been taking a real hassle on streamers lately. If there was a way to combat it like making it so they had to verify their email it would help a bunch of streamers. ( not to mention they have a setting under moderation under chat - verified email chat only ) why not make that setting also mean following be the same.

Add an option to require a certain view time before being able to follow. May help prevent botting and actually allow people to control how dedicated their fan base is
