The new feature restrictions I like how you manage to bring this ban evading feature too but even improve it a little bit it would be working better if the reply for the restricted user would not receive a message saying "Your message wasn't posted due to conflicts with the channel's moderation settings." it would flow into chat acting like normal but not give any alerts to that.
Like lest being honest if you post 10 messages every time you get "Your message wasn't posted due to conflicts with the channel's moderation settings." it is leading to that okay person knowing they are restricted…

Prevent Unverified Users without a phone number added to their account from following your channel. Prevent Unverified Users without a phone number added to their account from following your channel. This setting should be toggle-able by the streamer in the Dashboard and will prevent follow bots from spamming your stream with follows from unverified, brand new accounts that were generated with scripts.

Change the Telephone requirements - Verified Accounts Only Chat The new restrictions on verified chat requires using a personal mobile number only??? You want me to expose my personal mobile number to being hacked or used for your marketing purposes? I have a VOIP number associated with my my email and mobile number for the purpose of keeping things separated that I have used for SEVEN YEARS for security purposes. It is a shame that you don't respect your user's privacy and security. The recent hack of Twitch is proof I don't want you to have my personal mobile number. You need to change the requirement, since I have…

Give verified status to users who have recieved payouts. Personally, i do not have a mobile phone by choice. I have no need for it, so i'm not going to waste money paying for it each month. Therefor, i don't have a way to verify my login even though i have the authy app, 2fa enabled, and i'm affiliate. They have my tax information, but they won't "verify" me.
The best thing i could think of is if a user has received payouts, give them the same status as if they had a phone. I know a lot of users who stream, but don't have a phone to verify…

Do not require a phone number to be a verified account Do not require phone numbers to be a verified account.
I just tried to chat and because I do not trust twitch with my phone number, especially after they got all their data leaked, I couldn't.
I will not be giving it to you, this will quickly create a have and have not situation where people will be unable to join in with chats and thus leave your platform if they either do not have a phone or do not wish their phone number to be sold, given away, profited from or leaked.

Use 2FA Phone Number to Count as Chat Verification I am suggesting an idea which would utilize having set up 2FA using a phone number to count for chat verification as well.
I was in a raid but when I got to the destination streamer I couldn't send messages in the chat even though I had followed that channel. I got a message saying that I couldn't chat because my account wasn't verified. I clicked on the little info icon, and it explained it and I was able to get into chat fine.
I was confused though, because I have had my Twitch account set up with 2FA using…8 votes -
Affiliates should be Verified Accounts for Phone Verified Chat re: https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2021/09/29/securing-your-chat-with-phone-and-email-verification/
The FAQ suggests alternatives to mobile verification, VOIP, et al., are not good enough for verification; i.e., too cheap to spoof.
I'm an affiliate in long standing, can that fact not be verification that I can be trusted not to make duplicate accounts? Twitch has my tax ID, I'm pretty sure that they're pretty sure who I am. I do use Authy (and other online services) for verification, but I do not use cell networks ("mobile").
It makes little sense that Twitch has approved Us affiliates to represent their Terms of Service well enough to pay us, yet…

Channel Actions for new verification systems. Like the pencil that editors have for editing the title in moderator view, I am suggesting that the new verification systems that are now only available in the editor dashboard also be made available as a new widget or added to the "Channel Actions" widget for editors who use mod view.
I would also like to see some slash commands to enable or disable them. Perhaps with whatever we preset the settings to.
/phoneon /phoneoff
/emailon /phoneoffWhen used, it could enable those verification systems with the settings we had previously saved.
This would give us the ability to use…

Prevent unverified users from using or gaining channel points. With the addition of customizable chat verification with emails and phone numbers as listed here:
https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2021/09/29/securing-your-chat-with-phone-and-email-verification/
Users who don't pass those verifications are still able to gain channel points and interact with chat by redeeming channel points that don't require a message.
There have been hate raids that utilize these channel point redeems because they show in chat even when sub-only or emote-only chat is on. They include hateful words or doxed information in their usernames, and with this bypass they're able to show that in chat.
Please prevent these unverified users from gaining channel points, or at the very…

Stop thinking i'm a bot and asking for a mobile sim card on a verrified email account Right now i can't chat on any twitch cause its asking for me to enter a mobile number. and despite my repeated attempts at getting SOMEONE to disable this stupid targeting on my accounts, nobody is listening. And no I'm not giving my mobile number. u have my verified email and i shouldn't be scrutinized to enter a mobile number. If you need mobile numbers on my account then i'm not using twitch period. and unsubbing from everything and moving to another platform. the fact you single me out for using twitch-tools.de and a vpn shows you don't care about…

Flag accounts based on account creation date Any account under x days/hours should be flagged for the broadcaster/mod to allow/ban to talk.
This will help with bots/raids/trolls.
Setting needed: Input for how strict the caster wants it.
Why not just use follow/sub only mode?
I'm not looking to restrict good people in my community. If I can get a person to make an account and talk with them, that's a win for the community.
But I still want to find a way to filter out problematic issues that could come up.58 votes -
Only allow accounts with 2fa enabled to watch your stream There are a host of problems on Twitch and I feel as though this idea could be a solution to some of the bigger ones.
I suggest giving streamers the option to only allow accounts with 2fa to access their channel. Make it an option for the individual streamer and make it toggleable.
In order for this to work, Twitch must do more than just “not allow the user to use chat.” Twitch needs to stop them from accessing the streamer’s channel all together. The same needs to be done for users who are banned/blocked but that is a whole…

Require 2 Factor Authentication to Chat In an effort to make trolling more difficult, require 2 Factor Authentication to chat in streams. People can make fake phone numbers to tie emails to, but it would be difficult to constantly have to create both to tie together. Twitch users are supposed to be 13 years of age or older anyway and every teenager or older out there interacting on Twitch have cell phones. This would help provide better security and prevent bot spam and provide a safer experience for the streamer because of how difficult it would be to just create a brand new account after being…

make users with accountage to chat add that accounts need to be with a certain time of creation decided for the same channel, time can vary from no time to days, weeks, or months if intended.
when the account surpasses this creation time, ti will be able to speak in your channel3 votes -
Automatically timeout chat from accounts created in the last x number of minutes/hours It’s reprehensible that Twitch does not have better protections for streamers. We know without the content from streamers, twitch would no longer exist.
Not allowing the repeat creation of fake user accounts within a given time period would be a start. Also settings for a streamer to automatically timeout chat from accounts created in the last x number of minutes/hours.

Option for streamers to limit chat to accounts over a certain age Harassment can be a problem for some streamers on twitch. A user will come into chat and cause trouble for the broadcaster / other chatters. He might get banned, but nothing is stopping him from creating a new account and re-enterring the chat to continue causing problems. Even if the chat requires a verified email, it is easy for a troll to return. If there was on option for streamers to prevent accounts under a certain age from chatting (say, 1 or 2 days), this would make it a lot harder for people to continue trolling after getting banned. Legitimate…
