Please eliminate Autism Speaks. They do not help or represent autistic people.

I have pals who are autistic and the idea that they might have to see this stuff while I'm streaming is TRASH. They literally want to "cure" autism, not embrace neurodivergence. None of the interventions they suggest are helpful to autistic people, just make them "easier to deal with" - GROSS

Thankfully I could not find LGBA on there, however autism speaks should not be there.

Autism Speaks has a LONG history of treating our condition like a disease (at times even arguing for a search for a "cure" for a condition as natural to autistic people as breathing), supporting or advocating for parents who've spoken about wanting to kill their autistic children, and putting out literature and media that demonizes and pathologizes us (to the point of deliberate misrepresentation and inciting trauma in children so they can film the meltdown). Their symbol, the puzzle piece, is an insult because it implies that autistic children are missing a piece, defective or incomplete, instead of complete people with special needs and difficulties navigating the world. They claim to speak for autistic people but do not (and, to my knowledge, never have) employed a single autistic person in any meaningful role. Autism speaks is widely regarded as a hate group by the autistic community--because they are one. Please remove this hateful, abusive organization from the list of charities receiving twitch's support. There are lots of other organizations Twitch would be better served by supporting; if they are4 looking for something that specifically speaks to their autistic user, might i suggest the Autistic Self Advocacy Network? https://autisticadvocacy.org/about-asan/about-autism/

twitch do research before putting “charities” on your website to be funded for, what is wrong with you? autism speaks is a hate group, if you actually asked autistic users and streamers you would know that.

Autism Speaks actively speaks over autistic voices and promotes eugenics and "curing" autism. And every penny they get goes towards more of this behavior. They need to go.

Autism Speaks is extremely harmful to me and other people. They believe Autism to be a bad thing and want to eradicate us. This is not a charity, this is a a genocide campaign.

please twitch, for the love of god, if you're going to have an autism charity listed, the least you could do is list ones that are run by autistic people. the autistic self advocacy network is right there!

As an autistic man myself, I always found autism speaks to be more about "fixing" me rather then providing information that assists people of the spectrum. It doesn't give valid information, and it lets others speak over us or for us as though we're not people. Some of us have been greatly effected by this so-called "organization" that it's damaging to have it partnered and allowed on this platform. Something needs to be done.

No autistic friend of mine has EVER spoken a single kind word about Autism Speaks. Get them out of here.

Twitch allowing this group on their platform is disgusting and is only going to lead to more misinformation being spread and more autistic people being hurt. Remove Autism Speaks now and add charities that ACTUALLY support autistic people like Autistic Self-Advocacy Network (ASAN), Autistic Women and Nonbinary Network (AWN), and other pro-advocacy organizations suggested by the community. Hate groups should NOT be allowed on Twitch.

As someone who is recently realizing they are autistic, having a group wanting to "cure" me for just how I am is so so hurtful. I am learning to love and accept every autistic bit about me, and having a group's mission to erase that makes me feel the hate I experienced all my life. Please remove them, Twitch!!

Autism Speaks has been condemned by the Autistic community for years. The fact that they are still being uplifted here is very saddening and disappointing.
