Watch streak issues!
Hello, I’m writing this report/ Idea about watch streak! I recently having a few issues about the watch streak! The first one is I’ve been watching the same streamers when they go live right but if we miss one stream we are able to maintain our streak if we watch the vod of the stream we missed but the icon doesn’t appear like it usually does, yes is the same stream that I missed so I lost the 70 streak streak! The other issue is I don’t know why sometimes it takes over 15 minutes to earn a watch streak which it happened to me and i lost a 95 stream streak ! The last issue is that Twitch doesn’t notify about you having a 24 hour period to watch so you can to maintain your streak!

I documented this all quite often with screenshots and clips I created during the (so called) "missed streams" and sent them the evidence
and on channels where there is no VOD I created clips just to make sure I got evidence and in case of DJ-streams (where you can't create clips) I took screenshots during my chat activity
I guess they now got stricter rules with recovering streaks but as I told them in the last support mail that I am starting to give **** about streaks now... as this "feature" is more frustrating than helping to get streames more views... I stopped arguing... if twitch keeps blaming others for their issues... they wrote me a long list of things that "could cause troubles" but fun fact... none of the things they told me was being done by me
and I could even show them that I got no ad blockers, no VPN, no website filters, you name it... so yeah... we will see if they get this "feature" fixed or removed
I'd rather have it removed to be honest

this happend to me also recently on three different channels one with a streak of 76, the 2nd with 45 and the last with a streak of 40. I didn't miss a single stream and haven't gotten a notification about it to recover my streak and when i wrote an email to the support they told me they couldn't put it back up manuelly like the other times it had happend

This has also happened to me. I was at a 115+ streak for a streamer, and it just disappeared, and it's quite saddening because we tend to take the time to build the streak. Twitch support just sent me a link on how to recover if you missed a stream which is ridiculous since I hadn't missed one

Same thing happened to me @andakar
It’s highly frustrating to see a streak evaporate under your eyes while you are actually participating in a stream (chat, watch time etc…) -

This happened to me this past week too. I was excited to go in and share my 60 stream streak, but it was reset to 1 and all twitch says is to post in the “Uservoice forum” 🥲

having the same issue, as it doesn't register some streams while others are being recognised instantly
the thing is, I was on a 108 streak on a channel when I even restarted my browser (as being told by twitch support) to have a better chance of being detected
however, it didn't work and so the stream number 109 (which would have been that one day) got not detected and my streak got reset by twitch claiming I missed a stream (I even was active chatting and created a clip that day)
I never got a notification on that ending streak as well (perhaps as the channel doesn't offer VOD too) and yes, it sucks... either twitch fixes this problem fast or gets rid of that kinda useless and mostly frustrating issue
I mean, I am mod on a few channels and even as active mod it doesn't detect me then... running the stream an multiple devices sometimes fixes things but not always.
My system that I mostly use is a windows 10 system with google chrome, twitch on PC, mobile phone as app as well as tablet in the app
no ad blockers (paying turbo and regular subscriptions for a reason), no VPN, no minimized windows, no background play, no muted stream, nothing of these things that possibly could cause issues
