there’s a glitch in the system causing these resets

actually heres a fix twitch staff to consider allow streamer owners / high level mods to directly input the watch streak so eg the could click on someones name in the stream a chatter/viewer and have an option to adjust streak and then they jsut have a text box the can enter the correct value in or same or similar process thats used to adjust ppls channel points so eg /fixstreak 100 @randomviewer101 and tht resets the streak to 100 or something

same i just lost mine its a useless feature tht breaks to often either fix it or bin it twitch

I lost my watch streak. Remove this feature if you can’t fix it. It’s very annoying

Just happened to me as well. Lost a 100 streak despite being in every stream.

This happens all the time. I delete all my cookies, clear the cache, restart the computer and twitch still refuses to acknowledge that I am watching the stream.

this literally just happened to me just now, my 75 streak suddenly vanished despite not missing a single stream

i had a 135 watch streak yesterday, Sunday. I visited the streamer's stream yesterday. I enter the stream once again on Monday and my streak is resetted to watch streak 1. what gives?

I just lost a 30+ stream streak despite not missing any streams.

Incredibly frustrating and I have no way to fix it.

If Twitch can't keep track of them right then what is the point of having them??

I've had almost ALL of my streaks reset on all streams I watch. I just joined a stream with my streak saying 1 more for the next checkpoint and 15 minutes in it reset to 1.
At this point I don't bother trying to get streaks anymore which means I don't bother catching EVERY stream anymore.
At the beginning I was very very gung-ho about building streaks on all streamers that I watch making it a point to watch at least 30-60 minutes of each stream, now sometimes I see someone streaming and just think meh... Thanks Twitch

I was just about to hit a 200 watch streak in one of my favourite channels. Got into stream today, only to find out it got reset back to 1 - even though I haven't missed a single stream. And from what I've read, Twitch won't do anything to reinstate watch streaks, but instead just close all tickets submitted when someone complains about it.

Good job making viewing more enjoyable by giving us goals that we can't even keep, Twitch.

I'm in the channel I moderate right now and what should be a 90 stream streak is now a 1 stream streak - which really sucks because I haven't missed a single stream since 2022.

I just had it happen during a stream, like I came in at start of stream with watch streak intact and then I had to refresh the page cause stream kept lagging and it reset my streak...

It has happened to me multiple times, but only for one specific streamer. I know I didn't miss a stream either.

I had it happen to me THREE times, twice on a single channel, and once on another, losing a 20+ watch streak, a 35+ one, and a 75+ another! This system is a broken mess and Twitch does jack about it!

I'm not getting channel points on Any stream I watch, been this way for over a week, all my streaks are stuck at 1

I too had this happen to me I was on stream #72 when the streamer said on thier discord they were having tech issues and said even though it would tell them they went live it didn't actually stream so when they finally got it to work and my notification popped up when I clicked on it there was nothing it just said last stream was today. Had no idea how it would be over in the 30 seconds it took for me to see the notification read it click.it and the app to open. They finally got it working an hour later I joined saw my 72 when first joining so thought it was all good the system must have realized there was no actual stream but when my points came in it said my streak was 1 because I missed a stream.

Same thing happened to me. Was at nearly 90 on a channel, went to the streamer when they first started and saw my same number. Since I was at work, went away for an hour with the stream still up. I come back and for whatever reason I got reset. Stream was still up, streamer confirmed they didn't have a disconnect. A bit disheartening and makes the stream another meaningless thing on the platform. I understand things break, but when you have no choice in fixing it then it just sucks.
