To add my issue to the pot, I had a long streak of at least 115, I watched stream interacted and everything, I even checked to make sure the streak was still active. Then the next stream, it was reset, it sucks, the feature is kinda pointless if it doesn't work consistently.

I also just lost my 119 stream streak without missing a stream. Last stream was yesterday and I confirmed it go from 118 to 119, also interacted with chat. I mainly watch on PC and rarely on mobile. Today's stream was supposed to be 120 streak too but the counter was reset to 1 streak. Pretty annoyed and bummed out.

Just had my 49 stream streak reset to 1 without me missing a stream. Like others have said earlier, in it's current state intermittently failing stream streak count defeats its whole purpose.

what's the point of having stream streaks, when you suddenly reset it without notice despite not missing a single stream

Just happened to me, too, every time this streamer goes live I am there, interacting in the chat. Usually it's been fine with mobile but I noticed last saturday the watch streak ticker hadn't gone up the whole time I was watching(about half an hour on mobile since I was on break at work) despite me interacting in chat.

had this happen to me as well had a 35 stream streak reset on me and it reset to 3 today even though i've never missed a stream

I first lost a 100 day streak and then again when it was going to hit the 25 day on the same channel! Not like its the end of the world but does make me a bit annoyed.

Same! Today I was set randomly to a "3 day streak", but the stream before I was at a 49 day streak..

I lost my 95 day streak I just noticed it's at 2 days I haven't missed a stream.

My watch streak went from 45 to 3 and then to 1, I was watching every stream.

This happened a lot to me too. Mostly this happend when watching on my mobile.

I was on on watch streak of 173 with one streamer and normally watch on my PC in the browser. Today I was not at home so I started watching on mobile when they started streaming and I instantly got the "Watch streak was reset because you missed a stream" thing.

I like the idea of this little incentive for viewers but in its current state it is badly implemented and totally defeats the purpose.

This has been happening to me quite a lot. Ive been watching one streamer everyday for many months.

Last time my watch streak got reset was just yesterday. I don't think my watch streak has been over 3 for a while now. It was at like 15 or 16 and suddenly I go watch her stream and my watch streak once again has gone from 3 to 0.

I've talked to some people in her own twitch chat and only a few people have experienced same. Some people are still going with hundreds of streaks and me and apparently hundreds or even thousands of other people can't even make it higher than 3.

I've had a couple long streaks end with no streams missed; going back into the vods, I can see myself chatting in every stream, including the ones I've "missed".

I'd rather this not even be a thing if there's a chance for it to get messed up so frequently like this. Like, what's even the point? Very disappointing.

Edit: I've also contacted support and gotten the same boilerplate copy/paste answer that DegnaRed got. The irony is that I even mod the channel where these long streaks were broken! I never miss a stream.

I contacted Twitch Support about having a Watch Streak reset. It took 3 tries to get them to understand I wasn't asking about Subscription Streak. Then they said:

"In an effort to improve existing features and to test new functionality on our platform, we will occasionally run experiments with a small percentage of our users, such as the Watch Streak experiment.
At this time we are unfortunately not able to manually restore Watch Streaks.

If you were a user in the experiment, we welcome you to provide any feedback on your experience via our UserVoice forum.

Please let your opinions, thoughts, and suggestions be heard so that we may continue to improve Twitch, together!"

When I asked "What experiment could you have been running that would reset a Watch Streak with no ability to fix it?" They replied a minute later saying they had "reviewed my case thoroughly" and had no more information. And they closed my ticket. So I'm pretty skeptical this was an "experiment" or that I've gotten an accurate answer.

Was at a 185 watch streak, reset to 1 the other day despite me being in the stream.

watch streak that was about to hit 30 turn to 1, literally, right before the stream began it showed 29, stream started, shows 1. infuriating.

I have the same problem - I had a whopping 138 stream streak. Yet, despite watching the streamer on the day and the day before, it got reset back 1. Why?

Here's a question - Is it possible for channel MODs to reset your stream streak?
