Channel Points Folders with on/off switch
For variety streamers, it would be wonderful to be able to put certain channel point rewards into folders that can be turned on and off with the flip of a switch.
For example, I could put all my "Fallguys" rewards into a "Fallguys" folder. Then the entire folder could be turned on. When I play a different game, I could turn the folder off.
With the current system, we have to go through a huge list of rewards turning each individual reward on and off when switching games. The end result is that many streamers just have rewards that don't always make sense, depending on what they're doing that day.
Nobody talks about the log? I need to know if a mod has rejected or approved a bounty, but unfortunately I can't. I just wish I had somewhere to look up what was done with the bounty...
First of all I love channel points. But having separate categories would be a dream. I often forget to toggle them on/off when streaming a different game (and I do often in a week). So sometimes I just leave them out because it's really stressful to think about that every time. Which is sad because channel points are super cool.
You should not only make folders but also create an optional automatic function to tick, where if you go live and change a game, the channel points change as well (as suggested here). This way, our streams would become less stressful.
Hey friends, just a heads up. There is a way to do this now with streamer.bot you just have to recreate the channel points in streamer bot so it can have control over disabling and enabling them. You can group them and enable/disable entire groups of channel points. Only thing I have come across is having the limit of 50 created points. If I could create a thousand and only enable 50 that would be ideal.
The folders idea is an awesome bonus, but even at a basic level, I'd like to see individual toggles *outside* of Twitch. StreamDeck, LioranBoard, or any other API worthy system for exporting this arduous task.
I have 24 redemptions for a specific game night, and it's too funny flicking all those switches manually. XD
There are many streamers who use specific channel point redemptions with specific games. I think an amazing feature would be to have another customization option when making a new custom redemption such as; Only available when streaming xxxxxx category (leave blank for always available). Many streamers play with extensions such as crowd control or chaos creator for specific games, and having your channel point redemptions flooded with say Minecraft related redemptions could be a little messy when you're streaming something else.
I actually came here to request this same thing. The idea of a "loadout" as style system would help a LOT of streamers be able to make their channel point rewards more appropriate to what they're streaming. I've been in a lot of streams where they've had game specific rewards that didn't need to be there when they were doing a just chatting stream. As a streamer myself, I'd love to be able to turn on or off certain channel points options based on category or "loadouts". The fact that this idea was suggested 2 years ago and not implemented is kind of sad, since I've been in a lot of streams where they've talked about wishing they had an option like this.
That would be a neat addition indeed.
Yeah, same as by the extensions which enabled only for a specific game
It would be really neat, if there would be an option, to automaticly toggle channelrewards on and off, depending on the game you are streaming.
As an example:
- "Make 5 Situps if you die" Only visible if EldenRing or dark souls is played.
- "Stay Hydrated" - Visible on every game.
Try Aitum. Simple and brilliant program for organising your redeems!
This definitely needs to happen! I've got things my chat can throw at me, playable stream clips, and special animations they now have to scroll through. Folders would make this so much easier! Twitch! Please add this!
Tech support Kureshu suggestion:
Based on the games that the streamer plays, the channel points is categorized for the specific games.
E.g. VRchat channel points, one category, Kirby or other games channel points, one category, channel points work different~
I stream in many categories, I have to go through my channel point redeems every single time one at a time enabling, and disabling the ones that I need and don't need for that category.
It would be nice to preset this to switch automatically per category if enabled for that category.
My community and I were just talking about this so I cam to see if there was a topic for it already and here it is.
The idea of loadouts/profiles for various things would be great. If you're playing a horror game and want jump scares or if you have a workout stream and things related to that, etc.
Really would be an awesome QoL improvement!
Came here to suggest this exact idea. This would be fantastic to see implemented!
Love this idea. Seems like other do too with the amount of votes. It's been here for sometime though.
I thought I had come up with this idea all by myself, but its common sense others would think the same too
For those like me, variety streamer, it'd be amazing to see a profile/group/loadout of channel point redeems that you can set up to change with whatever game you are playing. Like, have jumpscares and fun stuff for horror games, whereas in another profile you can have redeemables for challenges during a subathon stream or similar.
If theres anyway this could be incorporated into the channel point system I think it would make it easier for streamer and viewers alike.
I agree with you, for the streamer organisation as well as the viewer overall user-friendly image, it can be interesting :
For example, for now there are more or less 2 classifications : the cost of points and eventually if it's a new fonctionality or not.
If you are a casual viewer, it's pretty boring to search trough the possibilities that you don't have access because it's too costy, and if you want a function on a specific item (a game, sub, interact with streamer, emoji) grouping items could solve that
for the streamer, if you change your live category, you could just desactivate and activate the whole category and not search for all of the stuff you did add inside it
sorry my english is not the best,
have a nice day
Channel point reward folders:
Make folders that take up the same amount of space as a channel point reward and when clicked, go to a separate set of channel point rewards.
Also allow enabling/disabling/pausing redemptions on an entire folder at once (e.g. if a dozen rewards pertain to a specific game, just put them in a folder and disable the folder when not playing the game).
This also helps with reward organization for streamers who have a lot of channel point rewards.
If there are many awards, then it is difficult for the viewer to find the right one.
You can create the ability to create folders for awards. Then the streamer will be able to place rewards according to their "category", and it will be easier for the viewer to find the right reward.
Add a feature that allows streamers to sort channel points into categories, and some categories are only available when in a certain streaming category. For instance, when a streamer is streaming Minecraft, only the categories that are linked with Minecraft are available to redeem, other than general channel point items. Also, make it easy to lock and unlock the categories by adding a slider button available to the streamer and editors/moderators only.
