Game using wrong thumbnail and description The game "Goldeneye 007" is using the wrong thumbnail and description. It uses the data for "Goldeneye 007: Reloaded" even though that is already a separate category on Twitch. This change happened recently, in the past few days.
Note: The page for the Reloaded version uses an alternative thumbnail and description, but both currently describe the same game.

Separate Editions from Versions The idea is to have a special section called "Editions" which would be different from "Versions". This section would be only dedicated to collector's editions, GOTY and so on. Could be added under the "This game is a version." section on the edit page, as "This game is a special edition."
30 votesHey!
Yesterday we released the first phase of a project to redo version which helps this. We do still have versions, but going forward it will only be used for editions indeed.
we added support for Remake, Remasters, Expanded Games, Ports, and Forks. Any of these won’t need to be marked as a Version anymore :) -
Early Access Release Dates Currently IGDB's release date options don't allow for tracking both a game's initial early access release and the date at which it was declared to be in full release — e.g. Hades was originally released in early access for Windows on 12/6/18 and went into full release for Windows, Mac and Switch on 09/17/20. Currently, there can only be one Windows release date. Not only does this create ambiguity as to which date a page should go with, but ultimately both are valuable information and should be included on the page – there are contexts in which users will want…

Removing Digital Storefronts as Platforms As discussed on Discord, there are a number of digital storefronts that don't necessarily define where you can play a game. (Ex. PSN Store is on almost all of their devices, but some only play on select devices. PS3-only, PS3/PS4, PS4/Vita, Vita/PSP, etc.) Removing these platforms will make this more standardized.
(Confirmed under current internal discussion)Affected Platforms:
SteamOS -> Linux
PlayStation Network -> respective title for PSP, PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5, etc.
Xbox Live Arcade -> Xbox 360
Virtual Console -> Wii, WiiU
eShop -> respective title for 3DS, SwitchDiscord: https://discordapp.com/channels/114736716505546761/173875325304832000/713305358797635604
25 votesHey!
We have added ability to remove platforms, and have proceeded with doing some cleanup. SteamOS is now gone for example.
Going forward we will look at reintroducing such a concept as “stores” tied to platforms instead. This is the first step :)
Thanks!

Merging incorrect game entry without loosing its followers Hello,
We are developers of a game "NeosVR" and we have built following of about 1.5K in the last months.
Recently the name has changed to "Solirax", which is incorrect, as it is name of our company:
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/SoliraxAdditionally a new category "Neos VR" has appeared, which has correct name, but fraction of the followers:
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/Neos%20VRThese correspond to IGDB entries that were seemingly auto-generated.
We'd like to merge those entries, without loosing the 1.5K followers on the incorrect "Solirax" entry.
Will the followers automatically be merged on Twitch if the entries are merged on IGDB? Or is there a…
15 votesHey there!
Apologies for the issues! I believe we already discussed on Discord, we’ve cleaned up and handled the data issues on the database.
As IGDB we unfortunately have no handle on categories or follower count.
Thank you!

Platform Aliases (PS3, XB1, NGC, etc) When attempting to define a Platform for each title, especially with PlayStation anything, it can be alittle taxing to need to type out the full name of the platform for each entry. Unlike older platforms like "Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)" or "Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES)", these platforms do not use their common abbreviations in the title.
Ex. "PlayStation 3" vs. "PlayStation 3 (PS3)"

Good news! your suggestion has been implemented, and you can now make use of platform aliases when inputing release dates :)Thanks!

Hide "dupe" games Hi!,
When searching for games, those with the "dupe" category could be hidden. In this way the results shown are cleaner.
10 votesHey! Good news, this is done! we are now hiding all marked duplicates. If you ever spot a new one please report it to us via Discord :)
Thanks!

"Delisted" Game Status With other statuses like Offline, Rumored, or Beta, "Delisted" would help highlight titles that no longer are available to purchase, download, or have been removed from online stores. This would set it apart from, say, an Offline status where the Multiplayer or Online severs have been shut down, but you can still acquire the game.
Examples:
- PT
- Earthworm Jim HD
- Scott Pilgrim9 votes -
Bundled Titles dropdown in Edit is restricted to 10 titles, causing titles to be unselectable When Bundles include titles of a long running series, it is possible to encounter times that have too many titles to display with the basic name.
Ex. Mega Man (1).

Update "Shogi" category description Many players use the "Shogi" category without having any idea what Pony Canyon is.
Ladies' Professional Shogi_Harbour and I (amateur) recommend this description:
Traditional Japanese board game similar to chess.r/twitch moderator ossini suggested (when I inquired about changing the category description):
Shogi.. as its own category it likely should be an IRL category unless you guys have a specific game you use for it.8 votesTwitch category has been separated from the GameBoy game entry on IGDB and now is its own category.

Brazil and UK region for release dates Add Brazil and UK region for game release dates, because there are games released specificaly for those regions. Mainly Brazil, because there the Master System and Zeebo consoles have many Brazil only games released.
8 votesHey! Brazil is now a release region!
We’ll take a look at UK in the future in case this is still required. Thanks!

Add ZX81 as a platform Please add the Sinclair ZX81 as a platform. It is the computer that pre-dates the ZX Spectrum and came after the ZX80. It has a few classic games like for example 3D Monster Maze (the first or one of the first first person games).
If available I'd like to add games to that platform (which I own myself) to further complete the IGDB database.
7 votesHey there! This is done, has been added a little while ago in fact, sorry for the delayed reply!

'Platforms' section not showing all added platforms two games are linked below where the listed 'Platforms' (near the top of the game page, below 'Genre') don't correspond with the full set of platforms in the Release Dates section.
in both instances the missing platforms are 'Mac' and 'Linux', don't know whether it's an issue specific to those platforms or merely coincidental.
of note is that one of these (Transistor) also has some platform information added on the Companies page, while the other (Nuclear Throne) does not.

https://www.igdb.com/games/nuclear-throne7 votesHeya!
Good news, this is done and fixed! platforms should now be correctly reflected in both the game page header and the sidebar.
Additionally we recently did a lot of work on API syncs so additional issues should be taken care of there. If you spot anymore on this, please let us know.
Thanks!

Redirect Confirmed Dups to Correct Game Pages. (Confirmed in the Pipeline)
After confirming a duplicate listing for deletion, it would be helpful to users that have saved those titles by Following, Saving to Lists or to Played listings to forward those links to the correct page, rather than the "Oops" broken link.Discord:
https://discordapp.com/channels/114736716505546761/458320386275409964/7227011187899105606 votesHeyhey,
So shedding some more light onto this.
While we are going to be working on a proper way to remove ‘bad pages, and duplicates’, this project is likely going to come in several phases. The initial phase is removing the pages form the site, and stop syncing them with the API.
The later phase would be us building tools to automatically swap the game IDs on lists, reviews, etc.. which would take care of this. Thanks!

Video Thumbnail Previews in Edit pages Unlike Screenshots, Video Submissions do not show a preview thumbnail before submitting an Edit. I have a number of times it seems my copy/paste didn't fire correctly and Ninja Gaiden gameplay videos ended up in a few titles (like Star Trek TNG Genesis), so I was unaware of the mistake until after the Edit was approved.
(Review previously confirmed, re-entering for UserVoice)

Thanks for the submission! -
Notes section for Edit Submissions A Notes Section for Edit Submissions would help abit. If you have a slightly contentious edit like updating the coverart or release dates, you could state your reasoning/mindset in a Note section for an Edit. These would obviously be only visible to the submitter and admins (or voters if so chosen).
(This is supposed to already be in the pipeline for a future update, but I just wanted to add it here as well.)

Great news everyone, this feature is now live!
Contributors can now leave notes/comments on their contributions (Games, Companies, Platforms, Characters, Engine, People).
This will work both ways in helping us with validations, and admins giving feedback on contributions.More details on Discord if you wish to discuss :)
Thanks!

Oculus Quest as a Platform I only see the "Oculus VR" platform which is probably just the Oculus PC VR platform since Oculus releases can come to either Quest, Oculus PC VR, or both.
The Oculus Quest platform has millions of users and has been around for years so I think it makes sense to have it. Maybe Oculus VR could be renamed to Oculus PC VR.
5 votesHeya!
Good news, this is done! We not only added Oculus Quest but did a round of research and added multiple entries for the Oculus family, you are therefore now able to add and contribute release dates for:
Oculus Quest
Oculus Quest 2
Oculus Rift
Oculus Go
Gear VRThanks for the suggestion!

Episodic games do not display all titles in the series/story If a title is listed as an Episode (a game that continues a core story released in stages and/or uses the same game save data), it does not list the other Episodes in the series as Bundles or Expansions do. Currently, you can only link to a single title, and there is no means of stepping to the previous or next Episode.
Ex.
a) .hack//Infection Part 1, .hack//Mutation Part 2, .hack//Outbreak Part 3, .hack//Quarantine Part 4b) Virtually all Telltale games.

Go back to the old sorting system in custom lists Why have you changed the way you sort games in custom lists?
I have several lists with 200-400 games and sorting out new additions now is a nightmare.
I'm sorry but among the many things that need to be improved you have made one worse...4 votesHey!
Sorry for the delayed reply, but a few months ago we did a compromise by adding much needed quality of life improvements which hopefully helps these issues.
- ability to send each game straight to top, or bottom
- floating nav bar
- several warnings for duplicates, deleted entries etc..
Would love some feedback again if you think a return to the previous version is still needed.
Thank you!
