Please work with Twitch to re-add collection games, such as Halo: MCC. The splintering of these games essentially removes the ability to differentiate between someone playing the OG game versus the collection. In the case of Halo, this makes a massive difference as each MP match can be a different game. This significantly lowers the discoverability of channels that play these games.

Add ZX81 as a platform Please add the Sinclair ZX81 as a platform. It is the computer that pre-dates the ZX Spectrum and came after the ZX80. It has a few classic games like for example 3D Monster Maze (the first or one of the first first person games).
If available I'd like to add games to that platform (which I own myself) to further complete the IGDB database.
7 votesHey there! This is done, has been added a little while ago in fact, sorry for the delayed reply!

"Delisted" Game Status With other statuses like Offline, Rumored, or Beta, "Delisted" would help highlight titles that no longer are available to purchase, download, or have been removed from online stores. This would set it apart from, say, an Offline status where the Multiplayer or Online severs have been shut down, but you can still acquire the game.
Examples:
- PT
- Earthworm Jim HD
- Scott Pilgrim9 votes -
Broken thumbnail - Far Cry New Dawn I'm not sure why, but I noticed that 'Far Cry New Dawn' thumbnail from IGDB isn't linking through to Twitch. On IGDB it has the correct artwork, but on Twitch it's showing the blank generic grey thumbnail for the game. Maybe a link break down?
1 voteHey! IGDB game covers are not yet being used on Twitch, at the moment only the actual entries (and therefore titles) are being ingested.
This will happen soon however, stay tuned!

Merging incorrect game entry without loosing its followers Hello,
We are developers of a game "NeosVR" and we have built following of about 1.5K in the last months.
Recently the name has changed to "Solirax", which is incorrect, as it is name of our company:
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/SoliraxAdditionally a new category "Neos VR" has appeared, which has correct name, but fraction of the followers:
https://www.twitch.tv/directory/game/Neos%20VRThese correspond to IGDB entries that were seemingly auto-generated.
We'd like to merge those entries, without loosing the 1.5K followers on the incorrect "Solirax" entry.
Will the followers automatically be merged on Twitch if the entries are merged on IGDB? Or is there a…

Apologies for the issues! I believe we already discussed on Discord, we’ve cleaned up and handled the data issues on the database.
As IGDB we unfortunately have no handle on categories or follower count.
Thank you!

Wrong external game references for 27523 Running
fields id,external_games.*; where id = 27523
against the games API gets back reveals Alien Swarm, Super Mario, the Hunt, and several other games on other platforms are linked to 27523 instead of their respective representations on IGDB.1 voteHey there! thanks for letting us know, indeed there were some extra external Games connected to that ID. We’ve cleaned those up and it should be accurate now.
Thanks!

Early Access Release Dates Currently IGDB's release date options don't allow for tracking both a game's initial early access release and the date at which it was declared to be in full release — e.g. Hades was originally released in early access for Windows on 12/6/18 and went into full release for Windows, Mac and Switch on 09/17/20. Currently, there can only be one Windows release date. Not only does this create ambiguity as to which date a page should go with, but ultimately both are valuable information and should be included on the page – there are contexts in which users will want…

Add a revision date to Contribution Guidelines. Add a revision date to Contribution Guidelines at the top of the page https://www.igdb.com/contribution_guidelines
Small text with the date in the form of "Updated on: XX.xx.***" under the 'Contribution Guidelines' button in the Editor would be nice too.3 votesHey! Good news, this has been done!
We now have new contribution guidelines, part of which now feature a timestamp for revision and updates :)

No longer availabe Games / DLCs It would be great to mark games or DLCs/Expansions that are no longer available for purchase, because they have been taken down or the stores selling them have been closed.
In the past™ games were sold on discs - even nowadays, if you can find them, you can play them. Modern games and expansions are often sold online only. If the shops are closing, the possibility to acquire these games is gone, making it impossible for game collectors to legally buy these games. It would be nice to mark games and/or expansions which are impacted by this.4 votesHey!
We recently just added a new game status which should be perfect for this use case: Delisted games.
For digital games that are no longer available via online stores.
For example, P.T is no longer available for download on any digital store, making it delisted.

Deleting Spaces from Titles does not apply to Edit Submittions When a title is mispelled by adding incorrect spaces, deleting those spaces does not apply to updates or trigger a "pending approval" flag.
Adding spaces appears to function correctly, just not deleting.

Logging in/Signing up while browsing Currently, logging in while browsing a page will send the user to the Discover page. This should be altered so that logging in, or even signing up, should keep you on the present page. This will make users feel more welcome while motivating newcomers to keep browsing. This is admittedly a rather small issue and the logging in aspect will be largely mitigated once the site is optimized to where users aren't logged out at certain intervals, but still seems significant enough to recommend.
4 votesHeya!
Happy to say this has been resolved! Now when signing back into IGDB we will not be redirected to the homepage, but instead stay on the page you were browsing.Thank you :)

Hide "dupe" games Hi!,
When searching for games, those with the "dupe" category could be hidden. In this way the results shown are cleaner.
10 votesHey! Good news, this is done! we are now hiding all marked duplicates. If you ever spot a new one please report it to us via Discord :)
Thanks!

'Platforms' section not showing all added platforms two games are linked below where the listed 'Platforms' (near the top of the game page, below 'Genre') don't correspond with the full set of platforms in the Release Dates section.
in both instances the missing platforms are 'Mac' and 'Linux', don't know whether it's an issue specific to those platforms or merely coincidental.
of note is that one of these (Transistor) also has some platform information added on the Companies page, while the other (Nuclear Throne) does not.

https://www.igdb.com/games/nuclear-throne7 votesHeya!
Good news, this is done and fixed! platforms should now be correctly reflected in both the game page header and the sidebar.
Additionally we recently did a lot of work on API syncs so additional issues should be taken care of there. If you spot anymore on this, please let us know.
Thanks!

Separate Editions from Versions The idea is to have a special section called "Editions" which would be different from "Versions". This section would be only dedicated to collector's editions, GOTY and so on. Could be added under the "This game is a version." section on the edit page, as "This game is a special edition."
30 votesHey!
Yesterday we released the first phase of a project to redo version which helps this. We do still have versions, but going forward it will only be used for editions indeed.
we added support for Remake, Remasters, Expanded Games, Ports, and Forks. Any of these won’t need to be marked as a Version anymore :) -
Episodic games do not display all titles in the series/story If a title is listed as an Episode (a game that continues a core story released in stages and/or uses the same game save data), it does not list the other Episodes in the series as Bundles or Expansions do. Currently, you can only link to a single title, and there is no means of stepping to the previous or next Episode.
Ex.
a) .hack//Infection Part 1, .hack//Mutation Part 2, .hack//Outbreak Part 3, .hack//Quarantine Part 4b) Virtually all Telltale games.

Bundled Titles dropdown in Edit is restricted to 10 titles, causing titles to be unselectable When Bundles include titles of a long running series, it is possible to encounter times that have too many titles to display with the basic name.
Ex. Mega Man (1).

Redirect Confirmed Dups to Correct Game Pages. (Confirmed in the Pipeline)
After confirming a duplicate listing for deletion, it would be helpful to users that have saved those titles by Following, Saving to Lists or to Played listings to forward those links to the correct page, rather than the "Oops" broken link.Discord:
https://discordapp.com/channels/114736716505546761/458320386275409964/7227011187899105606 votesHeyhey,
So shedding some more light onto this.
While we are going to be working on a proper way to remove ‘bad pages, and duplicates’, this project is likely going to come in several phases. The initial phase is removing the pages form the site, and stop syncing them with the API.
The later phase would be us building tools to automatically swap the game IDs on lists, reviews, etc.. which would take care of this. Thanks!

Platform Aliases (PS3, XB1, NGC, etc) When attempting to define a Platform for each title, especially with PlayStation anything, it can be alittle taxing to need to type out the full name of the platform for each entry. Unlike older platforms like "Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)" or "Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES)", these platforms do not use their common abbreviations in the title.
Ex. "PlayStation 3" vs. "PlayStation 3 (PS3)"
