Handheld Electronic Game Platform This one may look like a stretch, but there are many hardware-exclusive games out there, and it would be the same as the Arcade platform, which isn't, by itself, a concise hardware platform, but a concept.
The only handheld electronic game option on IGDB now is the Game & Watch, but there are many games, even in renowned franchises, for things like the Tiger Electronics and other smaller brands.

Atari Jaguar CD platform I'm not an advocate for the platform, but I feel if Sega CD and 32X addons are their own platforms, this should probably be one as well, even for as short lived as it was.

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge Hi,
Previously I posted idea of bringing back separate game edition. Most of them I have seen are back but there are still missing pieces.
I recently streamed and speedrun Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge and I noticed that the category of that game is no longer there.
The Vanilla Ninja Gaiden 3 and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge work completely different gameplay and story wise. Razor's Edge is a different edition of a game not just expansion.
Please add this game category back much like how you brought back the rest.

This has been fixed. It was marked as a Port of the original Ninja Gaiden 3, hence it wasn’t being ingested.

Early Access Release Dates Currently IGDB's release date options don't allow for tracking both a game's initial early access release and the date at which it was declared to be in full release — e.g. Hades was originally released in early access for Windows on 12/6/18 and went into full release for Windows, Mac and Switch on 09/17/20. Currently, there can only be one Windows release date. Watara Supervision Platform The Watara Supervision is a fourth generation handheld platform released to compete with the Game Boy. It isn't a very popular console, but got recently added to the RetroAchievements service.

Nintendo 64 DD Platform The Nintendo 64DD is a very known japanese Nintendo 64 add-on with some exclusive games. It is like the Famicom Disk System is for the Famicom and the Super Disc (Nintendo PlayStation) is for the SNES.

Update "Shogi" category description Many players use the "Shogi" category without having any idea what Pony Canyon is.

Merging incorrect game entry without loosing its followers Hello,
We are developers of a game "NeosVR" and we have built following of about 1.5K in the last months.
Recently the name has changed to "Solirax", which is incorrect, as it is name of our company:

Apologies for the issues! I believe we already discussed on Discord, we’ve cleaned up and handled the data issues on the database.
As IGDB we unfortunately have no handle on categories or follower count.

Separate Editions from Versions The idea is to have a special section called "Editions" which would be different from "Versions". This section would be only dedicated to collector's editions, GOTY and so on. Could be added under the "This game is a version." section on the edit page, as "This game is a special edition."

Yesterday we released the first phase of a project to redo version which helps this. We do still have versions, but going forward it will only be used for editions indeed.
we added support for Remake, Remasters, Expanded Games, Ports, and Forks. Any of these won’t need to be marked as a Version anymore :) -

"Delisted" Game Status With other statuses like Offline, Rumored, or Beta, "Delisted" would help highlight titles that no longer are available to purchase, download, or have been removed from online stores. This would set it apart from, say, an Offline status where the Multiplayer or Online severs have been shut down, but you can still acquire the game.

Removing Digital Storefronts as Platforms As discussed on Discord, there are a number of digital storefronts that don't necessarily define where you can play a game. (Ex. PSN Store is on almost all of their devices, but some only play on select devices. PS3-only, PS3/PS4, PS4/Vita, Vita/PSP, etc.) Removing these platforms will make this more standardized.

We have added ability to remove platforms, and have proceeded with doing some cleanup. SteamOS is now gone for example.
Going forward we will look at reintroducing such a concept as “stores” tied to platforms instead. This is the first step :)

Add a game cover for LocoRoco 2 LocoRoco 2 doesn't have a game cover on twitch. There's one on IGDB so you can just use that. The game is 13 years old so I don't think the devs care what you pick

Add ZX81 as a platform Please add the Sinclair ZX81 as a platform. It is the computer that pre-dates the ZX Spectrum and came after the ZX80. It has a few classic games like for example 3D Monster Maze (the first or one of the first first person games).
If available I'd like to add games to that platform (which I own myself) to further complete the IGDB database.

Removing/Renaming "Legacy" Mobile Platform There are times some users confuse the general name of "Mobile" to include iOS, Android and other modern mobile platforms.
It might be prudent to rename this to Legacy Mobile, JAVA, WAP, or other name to help differentiate it form those common names.
