Badges/Emotes

How it works:
  • Choose a relevant category for your idea and check to see if any other users have already submitted this suggestion before creating your own
  • Be clear with your suggestion, provide examples and solutions to the problem you are posing. Suggestions without actionable feedback may be closed without comment
  • Upvote existing ideas, as opposed to creating multiple similar requests
  • Be sure to share your suggestion with others to gain more support!
  • Note: Suggestions are not guarantees that we will take action on an idea. We will try our best to communicate why an idea may not work, but may not always be able to share that information.
  • Titles that are unclear or unnecessarily vulgar may be reworded to better reflect the request for ease of discovery

If you need help:
This forum is for ideas only. If you need help, please check out our help portal for tons of articles that may answer your questions. If you still need help, you can reach out to our support team in the help portal as well!

Appeals or commentary on suspension decisions, support requests, suggestions disparaging others, and non-constructive feedback will be closed without comment.

  2. Show user badges on VODs

Sometimes user badges show in the chat replay on VODs, but sometimes not. Seeing role badges especially is important for me to be able to understand the context of the chat when watching a VOD. Could we please get user badges to show consistently on VODs?

(Happening on Chrome and Firefox. Before the PS4 app update of 11/15/2023, badges showed consistently on VODs there. I believe badges used to show consistently on web as well, although I can't remember when that was.)

  5. UN-GLITCH THE VIP BADGES

Streamers who are starting up will always end up with 4/5 viewers when wanting to acquire the VIP badges. My suggestion is to fix this bug before it becomes a bigger issue.

  6. Provide additional moderator icon options

As a moderator, I find that commands are slow to type, and when an obscene message is posted, using a command to remove it is not ideal. However, I find that having mod icons enabled is also not ideal, since it takes up too much space in the chat and I do not trust my mouse, which sometimes jumps the cursor around... I'd rather not accidentally ban someone because of that. So my suggestion is to provide an option to have mod icons be available while holding a specific (configurable) key or key combination, such as Alt, Ctrl or Shift,…

Add more VIP incentives starting with a customized chat badge in addition to Twitch's default and one emote slot.

  9. partner badge along side other badges

"Partner" Should be another role not replaced with badges we earn. It would promote partners to participate in other chats for the badges, no partner wants to turn off their checkmark.

  11. rename vip badge meaning

Replace the vip badge with a streamer/creature badge, many streamers i watch feel the vip puts someone above a viewer where a streamer/creature badge would be a better option.

  12. Designer icon

I like to prefer a Icon/Button like VIP and Subscriber for Chanel Designer , Video Editor.

So Creative People , can be seen in chats and maybe u can link the Button with a Reference site with work from those people ?

And maybe there will grow an Network for Designer/Video Editor , which can earn Money with it . Like streamer but as Designer

  13. Change VIP Diamond to Heart

Diamond's are ethically sketchy (see: conflict/blood diamonds).
I have been given VIP in a few channels and it makes me feel uneasy as I have been boycotting diamonds for about 8 years now.
Even the option to have diamond or hearts would be wonderful, similar to how you can choose to show Prime or not.
